We purchased our 2012 Volvo XC90 in 2015 and it has been love at first sight. In testing our car, my husband and I both were drawn to the look of the car. It's sporty SUV essence and the fact that it could seat 7 people comfortably. This was important to us since we were usually the ones driving our kids and their friends to practices, etc. Overall, it's a sturdy, comfortable and, most importantly, safe way to drive our family.
Story
Recently we took a vacation to local spots we had never been too. Several of these were located off uneven/dirt roads off of highways. Some involving steep inclines and declines. While our Volvo XC90 is definitely not an off-road vehicle - we did great getting to everywhere on the list safely!
Pros
Tremendous safety standards. The SUV comfortable seats 7 passengers. Lots of baggage and carrying space if you fold down the back seats. Good height and view of the road vs. surrounding traffic. Very nice interior and interior styling.
Cons
Not the best gas mileage when compared to sedans and other cars. A bit expensive compared to alternatives.
