2005 Volvo V50 Owner Ratings & Reviews

2005 Volvo V50 - Love it.
First, I love the way this very rare Volvo looks. It is a combination of glamour and practicality a very sleek, stylish, and very-well-engineered black station wagon with lots of room and plenty of seating or storage room. When I drive it, I feel unusually safe and secure as well as very happy that I have done well enough to own it. I look for excuses to go for a drive in this car. There is nothing I like better than to cruise my small town with the exceptional radio entertaining me. Or going shopping and having plenty of storage room for lots of packages!
Story
Every time my husband and I return home from a drive together and see this classic beauty sitting on our lawn waiting for us has been memorable and fun. He usually drives and prefers to drive his little red BMW convertible. We park the Volvo on the grass so we can cruise into the garage with the BMW.
Pros
I would say the top positive things about this vehicle are its styling, reliability, very smooth ride, safety, air conditioning, and a very excellent sound system. The brakes and ABS are great too!
Cons
I would say the top negative things about this vehicle include 1) difficulty in finding replacement parts for the interior and 2) finding a mechanic who not only will work on the vehicle without it costing a small fortune and who really knows how to capably fix these cars.
2005 Volvo V50 - Great, practical purchase
The leather and interior has held up very well to wear and tear. Low profile and wide body is stable and handles very well. Turbo makes it a joy to drive.
Story
Handles very well on curvy roads in central NY
Pros
Winter driving mode
Heated seats and personalized climate control
Sun roof
Plenty of airbags
Cons
Car sits low which can be tricky in deep snow
