Comfort, durability, and cost of repairs. My Touareg is by far the most comfortable car I have ever owned. It feels like the seat was made for me. I love the heated seats that help with my back pain. The leather is quality and has help up over the life of the car, the leather still looks new. I love how smart this car is. Every time it needs anything at all, it just pops up on the dash. It seriously saved me when I got a flat tire, as soon as my tire punctured it came up on my dash, flat tire! It tells me every time it needs air in any of my tires and tells me which tire it is. When any light goes out on the vehicle it tells me, how thankful I am to know when a break light is out.
Story
The day I bought my car was pretty memorable. I live in Wisconsin, and the car was two hours north of me. I didn't bother to check the weather before I left to go get the car. It started snowing. It ended up being a good storm, dumped just shy of a foot of snow, covering my drive home from the dealership. Pros
This car is super safe, which makes me more comfortable when driving. It hold up well over time. All the maintenance I have had to do has been normal, nothing has broken out of the ordinary. I have never had a problem with the electrical. The window and locks have always functioned properly, as well as the radio. The comfort is defiantly my favorite part of this car. The seats are amazing. The trim on the inside is beautiful, black leather, and black shinny dashboard. Just a beautiful vehicle, inside and out.
Cons
I have had to do some maintenance over time. All in a timely fashion, thanks to my car telling me what's wrong. My biggest con is that maintenance is really expensive. New breaks at the dealer, $1,500. Even lightbulbs are pricy and complicated to fix. It also has to go to the dealership for everything. Even gas is expensive for this car, as it only takes premium.

I have been leasing VW vehicles for 6+ years now and have very much loved the brand. I feel very safe in them but, I also feel like they are affordable for the quality. When I turned in my last lease I was pregnant and we were ready for more of a family vehicle. I didn't want something too big but, both my fiancé and I had never really owned a car that had any luxury to it so we decided to check out the Touareg. It is a fantastic size, not too "mom" like but still has lots of space. It has zone controls for the heating system which has proven to be nice on longer trips. It rides incredibly smooth which is nice considering we live on a dirt road, I still slow down over pot holes and such but in general it does amazing at keeping it a soft ride. Story
It snowed shortly after we purchased the vehicle. We live on a hill so this was going to be a great test for the car. It currently has all season tires on it and went right up the hill/driveway with no issues. It feels like a powerhouse—it was so reassuring of our choice.
Pros
Heated seats, smooth ride, safety, size, seat settings.
Cons
Gas mileage is not great.
