The Touraeg was the first VW I ever drove. I liked that the interior seemed to be sleek and made of quality materials. What I did not like was the constant recalls and the little maintenance things that went wrong all the time at the dealership( filter not tight, loose nut etc) drove me nuts.
Story
We took the car to the beach and had a great time, plenty of room and had no trouble getting around the sand with the 4wd. We spent every weekend the one summer driving it 2 hours to the beach. It was a great time
Pros
The vehicle was beautiful and drove great, I truly enjoyed the vehicle and would buy it again. It got great fuel mileage and served the purposes intended. It had plenty of room and went well in the snow. I had the 4wd version and couldn't have been happier with it.
Cons
It was always something wrong with it. 3 Recalls and always having to take to the dealership got old. Plus it seemed the SUV was a fickle patient as something additional was always needed to repair the issue I was having. Poor rating on reliability.
