My Tiguan is a great compact SUV for the price. It has a sleek exterior and a simple interior. The seats are black cloth, and it has all-weather mats, so there is no carpet to potentially ruin. It has a quality audio system, with USB entry and touchscreen interface for radio or MP3 use. The trunk has a folded down row of extra seats, if they are warranted. The price for my car is right around $23,000 when I got the car 18 months ago, but looks like it could certainly be worth more than that. The headlights are LED and are on automatic, adjusting to the light on its own. I am an overweight individual, and the car has plenty of room in both the driver and passenger sides for me to sit. I am told the back seat is also spacious, though I have not tried that out myself. I recommend the new ... (more)
Story
I have taken my car on some mid-range trips with my family to a casino resort, and it was fun having everyone packed in the car.
Pros
The car has a beautiful exterior and a simple interior. The audio technology is top of the line, for a base-model. Plenty of room for larger passengers. Ample trunk space for luggage or groceries.
Cons
The air conditioning can be a bit weak, especially during the heat of summer. It can take an extra few seconds to fully accelerate due to the smaller size of the engine. The extra row of seats in the trunk are pointless. Even if used, you can only fit small children in them. The stop-start system sometimes does not work correctly, so it might be best to turn off.

The Tiguan is an exceptional value for the money. It has a super stylish interior with a large display screen and digital dashboard. The seats and dash are covered in a monochromatic leatherette lending a sleek look. It is compatible with Apple Car Play and comes with several safety features (back-up camera, blind spot monitors etc.).
Story
This car seated my entire extended family plus five suitcases on the way to the airport. We were squished, but all got to ride together which was a big plus.
Pros
The Tiguan has two comfy rows of seating with an optional third row that folds down when not in use. I love that I can fit extra friends for brief rides.
Cons
The Tiguan has a feature that automatically turns off the engine when you're stopped for more than three seconds. While this is a great feature economically and environmentally, it does make for a slow start up.
