My Tiguan is the newest car I have ever personally owned. It has a Bluetooth connection to a phone, Sirius Radio, and a million other amazing features. When I first test drove it (which was about a month ago, I just got this vehicle), she drove so smooth I could not believe it. She has great suspension and very sensitive gas and breaking. The vehicle has an excellent body style, being a hybrid between a car and a SUV. Therefore, she has amazing gas mileage and is less boxy in her frame but still has SUV features that I love -- like a hatchback and folding down rear seats for my space.
Story
When my husband and I first drove it. After buying it, we were so excited but had not fully tested out the features. My husband was driving and turned the heated seats up to max, and I had no idea that they even had heated seats! It was very cold out, and at first, I was confused why half of me was so warm! But when I figured it out, we just kept laughing.
Pros
My favorite features? Let's see, as I love them all. The viability when checking your blind spot is somewhat impaired by the back seats versus what I'm used to, but this is not a problem because of my absolute favorite feature -- the reverse back-up camera. This allows m to fine tune my parking and reversing, and I am able to actually see where I am compared to nature, rather than getting out and checking (for example). This is a perfectionist's dream. Cons
To be honest, the largest negative thing about this vehicle was the price, but then again, we paid for quality even though we were hoping to get something cheaper. Another thing might be that this VW does not come with automatic lights, so I have to remember to turn them off before exciting the vehicle. I am just nitpicking here, because that is really no problem. The car alerts you if you leave them on. I just found it funny that VW neglected to add that feature. Also, the Tiguan has just average crash test ratings, and that worried me at first. But in the long run, "average" is still good.

I did a lot of research before purchasing a used vehicle (I'm always afraid that I will make the wrong choice, and something will go wrong with it) and actually never considered a VW. I was only looking at Jeeps, as I have always been a fan of their models. However, a car saleswoman showed me this Tiguan, and I fell in love. It had all the features of an SUV that I desired, but with the size and functionality (like gas mileage) of a larger car. Compared to the Jeeps that I had also been examining, the interior and exterior design seemed to be more luxurious and made of higher quality. Not only did my Tiguan have more updated technological features, but she drove very quality and smoothly during my test drive.
Story
Heated seats!!! Indiana has had some extreme ups and downs of weather lately: one day being 26 degrees and the next being 50 degrees. At 50, it always feels like summer to me, and while still slightly cold, I have the urge to roll down the windows slightly and get some air when driving. Luckily, I can have my heated seats on, to get a little warmth while I do this. It's amazing.
Pros
My favorite features about the vehicle was the reverse back-up camera and the technological display including Sirius satellite radio, with the option of using Bluetooth to connect my phone to the car to place calls/play music. Aside from these, love the heated front seats, keyless entry, and push start features of this vehicle. I could never go back to the traditional key method.
Cons
I can't really call this a negative, because it was worth the money, but an issue I had was the price. It was at the near end of our budget. Also, I sometimes wish it did have a larger back-hatch, but then again, I previously drove a full-sized SUV and am currently still adjusting to a smaller vehicle. I do wish that the under-visor mirrors were larger and that the interior door handles were made of better feeling material.
