2010 Volkswagen Passat - Balanced Family Car
Gas prices were bringing us down financially and we needed to make a decision. We needed a full size car with a high safety rating and good gas mileage and overall reliability. My dad used to say nothing was more reliable than German steel and he was right. The car has been through a lot already, an accident, over 100 miles of drive time a day and four kids and my husband, but it runs great and looks great and protected us when we needed it to.
Story
The first time we took the vehicle out after we bought it was to go on a date. I will always associate romance with our Passat.
Pros
The miles per gallon rating is decent and the size of the car is large enough for our family to fit inside of it comfortably. The stock sound system is great according to my husband and the overall drivability is great.
Cons
The only con I can think of was the repair costs when we got into an accident. It was a little higher than normal due to the car being foreign. Other than that the car has served our family well.
