1999 Volkswagen Jetta - Great Car
This was one of my favorite cars that I've owned. It always ran smoothly and quietly. It had great gas mileage, as I bought one with a manual transmission. Never had any problems with the transmission either. The inside was cozy and comfortable. Just big enough for me. And the interior was easy to clean. I had a cat who used to ride with me and it was surprisingly easy to clean the cloth seats of cat hair!
Story
I remember during homecoming, my girlfriends and I rode around with the sunroof open and them sticking their heads out driving to the warehouse where we were building our float. We had the music loud and had a blast.
Pros
My two favorite features of the car were the sunroof, which was so much fun, and the fact that it was a stick shift. It was so much fun to drive. The gas mileage was great and it kept the cost of gas way down for me, which was good, for a high school student's budget. It had these seatbelts that were cool too. A lap belt, and a separate shoulder belt. I liked that!
Cons
I would say that one of the cons was that it was a little more expensive to make repairs that a domestic vehicle. And, though I enjoyed the cozy small size, the trunk could have been larger. Sometimes I wasn't able to pack as much inside as I would have liked.
2015 Volkswagen Jetta - VW Jetta Best Car Purchase
My 2015 Volkswagen Jetta SEL is by far the best car I have ever purchased. This was the first time that I purchased a brand new car and felt comfortable in doing so. I researched and test-drove many cars before deciding to buy my VW. My job requires me to travel so I am in my car a lot. The car is quiet and drives smooth. The interior is stylish and roomy. There is plenty of leg room and room for my belongings that I travel with. The trunk is huge and I've never had a problem with anything not fitting. The car has excellent gas mileage, which makes taking trips more enjoyable. I love having the push start and touch screen navigation, heated seats along with a rearview camera. Story
We just had a storm with flooding. I felt very secure driving this car in the rain and on the roadway with standing water.
Pros
My favorite things about my VW are gas mileage, Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity, heated seats, touchscreen navigation, and rearview camera.
Cons
My only con would be a little better interior. The interior
is still very simple and austere.
