2014 Volkswagen Jetta - Dependable
This car is very comfortable to get to from A to B. It gets pretty good fuel economy and is fun to drive. It has a roomy interior and has not had any issues in the past year.
Story
Driving it in the snow during a blizzard, it handled pretty well surprisingly.
Pros
I think the best parts about the car are the appearance, fuel economy, and how it is fun to drive. I have driven many different cars in my life and prefer German cars. This one is affordable and suits my needs.
Cons
The base model does not give enough, once all the bells and whistles are put in, it goes from a sub 20k car to a high to mid 20k sedan.
2004 Volkswagen Jetta - It's a good car.
It's bigger than most compact sedans, the Jetta is a roomy, comfortable, and a practical choice. Handling is responsive, and the ride is comfortable. The Jetta comes standard with a rearview camera for available driver assistance
Story
Taking a joy ride to 7/11. It had 165k miles and never gave me any problems. It accelerated like a rocket--no worries about performance lagging while passing other vehicles--and the rock-solid handling is the best.
Pros
Offers a host of well-designed interior touches, a strong turbo 2.0-liter, a tauter suspension. Great brakes, a lower starting price and gets better fuel economy.
Cons
Base engine, safety features, and generally not perceived as a luxury car .Handling and performance are just average. Interior trim and materials feel subpar compared to competitors. It's pricier than some rivals. GLI model wants to be a high-performance car but is just sporty.
