2006 Volkswagen Jetta - Average
This car was ok on some days and bad on others. Sometimes it would shake when I traveled at high speeds. Other days the car seemed very sluggish. This especially happened in the colder months. This was not a problem for my brothers Toyota however. My Jetta was difficult to drive in the snow. I liked that it was sporty and compact. It fit my personality and my tastes. I would probably not buy this car again but I would recommend it to others. This car served its purpose of getting me to school and back. It also helped my get to work and back. I had this car in college too. I made frequent trips home and to bigger cities to go out. It was overall an OK car. I wanted more from it but am happy with where it go me. The car was sport. The car was nice and compact. I liked the blue color of the car and the interior was alright. I liked the feel of the car while driving and the responsiveness of the car. It handled pretty well. I liked the drift abilities of the car as well. The brakes on the car were good. The computer in the car could have been faster but it was adequate. The car was not sturdy. The car was not nice and bulky. I did not like the red color of the car stripe and the interior was a weird shade. I did not like the feel of the car while driving slowly and the responsiveness of the car was spotty in snow. It handled poorly in winter. I did not like the drift abilities of the car in rain. 1998 Volkswagen Jetta - Great commuter car
The Volkswagen Jetta was such a fun drive. It is a sporty car that zips around town and gets exceptional gas mileage. The Car has room front seats for average height people. A great purchase we enjoy! Great Sound system and electronic features made drive easy. This is my first experience with a stick shift vehicle and was fairly easy, however the shifting options are not the same as other brands which I was unaware of.
Story
This was my first experience with a stick shift car so having my husband teach me to drive in the neighborhoods surrounding us gave us lots of laughs. Still to the day one street I drive down occasionally reminds me every time of how I stalled at least 10 times in front of nearly the same house.
Pros
Great Gas Mileage, affordable with a feel of luxury in some features. Exceptional sound system with fun added perks like a moon roof that was enjoyable although not too often in the hot weather I am living in. Good clear lines of sight with little blind spot.
Cons
Back seat in the vehicle is small, especially with two average sized adult passengers in the front seats. When adding a car seat in there was not much room for even one adult to fit, you could but definitely not for a long car ride. Spacious trunk but part was taken up with the sound system Cd stacker. The sound system was great but disc changer being in the back of the car is slightly obnoxious especially when carrying large cargo regularly like a stroller which would be blocking you from making easy changes without removing it completely.
