2001 Volkswagen Jetta - Awesome car!
This Jetta has to be one of the best cars I have ever owned. Its great on gas mileage, even around town, when usually other vehicles use more gas to do quick errands, but not the Jetta.
There have been no serious issues with the vehicle, just basic standard maintenance - oil changes, fluid levels, that sort of things. It has a lot more space than you would think, I love how the back seat has the option of folding down so if you need to fit a larger item in the trunk, you can.
There is a spot in between the back seats where it folds down to reveal a space to fit two cups and storage. Never had a vehicle with this before.

Pros
I think the best thing about the Jetta is the cost...I was able to get an awesome deal on it, paid a lot less through someone I know who needed to make money fairly quickly, so I was able to save quick a bit of money than if I were to go through, say, a dealership, or even on-line, like Craigslist, or some other similar site.
Cons
There are no real negative aspects to this vehicle, only one small, insignificant thing, and that is the color. Its sort of a beige, which is really not one of my favorites, and if it weren't for the deal, I wouldn't have chosen it otherwise. But I will learn to live with it!
2007 Volkswagen Jetta - Reliable
Purchased this car with 175k on it, and it is still going strong at 190k. I had the intention of using this car as a beater to get to and from work, but I have enjoyed it much more than I anticipated.
Story
About a week after I purchased the car, I got a flat tire while on a vacation, and it was pouring rain. I will admit I did not look to see if it came with a full spare, a donut or if any of the equipment to change the tire was in the truck. Pros
Great fuel economy—28+ MPG. All black interior. Leather seats. Heated front seats. Good back seat leg room.
Cons
As a golfer, I always want to have my golf clubs on me. The trunk space is nice for a car of this size, but when a golf bag is added, it severely diminishes the space available for anything else. Sunroof will sometimes open to the moon roof setting without the knob being touched.
