2012 Volkswagen Beetle - A GOOD CAR FOR THE MONEY
I BOUGHT MY BUG IN 2012. IT GETS PRETTY GOOD GAS MILAGE AND HANDLES WELL. MY WIFE PREFERS TO DRIVE THIS CAR BECAUSE SHE SAYS ITS CUTE. IT ONLY HAS 80000 MILES ON IT AND HAS HAD THE OIL CHANGED EVERY 300 MILES. I WOULD BUY THIS KIND OF CAR AGAIN BUT THERE IS NO NEED. WITH PROPER MAINTANENCE I EXPECT THIS CAR TO BE WITH MY FAMILY FOR YEARS TO COME.
Story
DROVE TO MYRTLE BEACH IN IT ONE YEAR. PRETTY CLOSE QUARTERS BUT IT WAS STILL A FUN DRIVE.

LOOKS GOOD. GOOD GAS. HANDLES WELL.

2001 Volkswagen Beetle - Efficient, Adorable, Spacious
Overall, the VW Beetle is a fun car with exceptional build quality. Mine is over ten years old and runs perfectly. I've had it serviced a handful of times in the last couple of years, but nothing serious. Just regular vehicular maintenance.
Story
We drove this car to Disneyworld for our honeymoon. Stopped over in Atlanta and spent the night at a sweet little hotel, and arrived at the Magic Kingdom in the morning.
Pros
This car gets reasonable gas mileage. 23 MPG town, 27 highway. The shape of the vehicle and position of the windows allows for exceptional visibility, and the sunroof is nice.
Cons
The cup holders are tiny. In Europe, I'm willing to bet people drink smaller beverages. They are suitable, but not designed to handle massive American Drive-Thru sodas. If this is a deal breaker for you, there are plenty of cars better equipped.
