I was ultra excited to own my first Volkswagen Beetle. After being an avid fan of this car since the '70s vintage models were created. I was elated to see that they finally upgraded the bug that wasn't a flowery bubble that look like it was made for females. I bought a Black Beetle. It only had 36 thousand miles on it when I bought it. I loved the comfort and the style of the car. Also, it had great pickup. I could just tap the gas and shoot like a rocket ahead of everyone at the red light. My car would have been perfect if it was not made so cheaply. I loved the vibe of my car. The freedom that it gave me. The road trip's and the gas mileage.
Story
I drove my car to Daytona. And paid to drive on the Daytona Beach. It was pretty awesome. I was driving up and down the beach listening to The Beach Boys. With the windows down, it grabbed everyone's attention. I parked my car on the beach with the hatch up and laid out in the sun next to it jamming music. Sadly, me and my girl cannot go on too many adventures due to all the mechanical problem... (more)
Pros
The top positive things about the car was the style, the feel and the comfort behind the wheel. I also like the gas mileage. It was very good with gas. I loved the compliments that I received from owning this sleek beauty.
Cons
The negatives outweighs the positives with this car. Let's start with the automatic window controls. If a drop of water gets inside of the panel, it will completely die. Giving you no way of rolling a window up or down. And with a rounded edge roof. It is nearly impossible for water not to pour down in your car. The A/C went out on the car a month after I bought it. Remember again that the car only had 36,000 miles. So it was basically new. The A/C should not have gone out. I am still driving it around with no A/C because it is too expensive to get fixed. Second. Any work that you have don... (more)

Overall, this a great car. It only cost me around $21,000 without the tire rim, but it has been a pleasant experience. This car offers a great mileage, exceptionally smooth handling, and smart sensors to help you navigate rainy and foggy conditions. It may not hold four adults comfortably but does a great job with a two-person experience. The controls are very intuitive and offer a big storage compartment.
Story
It was when I drove with my girlfriend to Texas, and we had saved up a lot of money for gas, but we didn't need it due to excellent mileage.
Pros
Great mileage. I live in Oxford, MS, and it has a fair bit of traffic due to being a college town. I fill up the tank completely every week, and I don't have to refuel for that period. I average about 33 mpg, which is a great for my wallet. I also like that it has an automatic sensor on top of the glass. This sensor tells the hardware to start the wiper in case of rainfall. The back storage feels spacious. and I can properly fit three of my luggage bags during any trips.
Cons
It's a Beetle, so the seating is a bit tight. Maybe too tight. There are backseats but no adult-size human can fit there. If I do happen to bring friends along, I have to regretfully decline them a lift. The suspension is also a bit stiff. This car makes you aware of every little bumps and holes out there on the street. The seating also leaves something more to be desired. It is a bit stiff, which can be problematic during long road travels.
