I bought my 2007 Toyota Yaris used from Craigslist. The vehicle seems like it was built for a new driver or an elderly person with very basic interior features. It's reliable with regular maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
Story
I drove this car on my first trip from St. Petersburg to Miami, the car's reliability helped make the trip easy and stress free.
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle include its amazing gas mileage with an 11.1 gallon tank capacity that gets up to 34 mpg city and 40 mpg highway (it only takes around $20 to fill up the tank). I use this car for road trips and so far it's been reliable for me. Additionally, the AUX cord outlet is convenient for listening to music with a phone, iPod, or MP3 player. The dials and buttons for the A/C and the CD player are also all very simple to understand. Both the A/C and the heating systems work fast and well.
Cons
My least favorite features of this vehicle are that the MPH gauge is positioned in the center of the dashboard rather than in front of the steering wheel. Additionally, the speeds are in intervals of 20 rather than 10. These cons combined can sometimes make it difficult to accurately know the speed I'm driving. My cruise control button also doesn't work consistently making long trips more difficult as well.

This car performed smoothly and strongly from the beginning. Even as it got older, it still did not let me down. It is the right size for me and is very comfortable. I have driven many places in it and have never had any trouble mechanically. It gets great gas mileage and sometimes it seems ages since I last filled it up. Although it has a few dings in it now, it still cleans and polishes up very well. The trunk is ample for my shopping, and I even got many bags of yard mulch in there a few weeks ago. I have driven family members and friends in it, and everyone has commented on how roomy the space is in the back. The only thing I honestly dislike about it is that there are many similar looking vehicles to mine, and sometimes I have a hard time finding it in the parking lot!
Story
I have many fond memories of driving my daughter and her friends to school each day.
Pros
Great gas mileage, roomy trunk, and very comfortable ride.
Cons
I should have got a less common color as I see so many similar cars everywhere.
