2008 Toyota Yaris - Just a car
This is a tiny car with no exceptional features. Anti-lock brakes were sold as an add-on, so I put my life in danger every time I get in the car.
Story
Yaris owners, like Harley owners, always spot each other in a crowd, and there's a look. Unlike Harley owners, it's a sad sign of acceptance.
Pros
It was the cheapest Toyota you could purchase when I purchased this vehicle. That's the only redeeming quality it has.
Cons
There's no auto-tensioner of the serpentine belt, so after the first belt replacement my belt has never been taut.
2007 Toyota Yaris - Best, most reliable car I have ever owned.
When we went to the dealership, we initially had our eyes on a Prius. But unfortunately, the payments would have been way too high. So the dealer showed us the Yaris, and I was skeptical, because it wasn't the car that I wanted. But the price was right, and it had great gas mileage. So I got it. I have had the car for seven years now and am just in love with my car. I have kept up with the maintenance on the car, so she is still running just as smooth as she was the day I bought her. There have been a few problems arise. But it was just regular stuff that needed to be changed in time anyway. I love the fact that the gas mileage is so great. I only need to fill it up every two weeks, and I can fill it up with 20 bucks.
Story
When my son was two years old, we took a vacation and drove down to Myrtle Beach for a few days for that year's 4th of July.
Pros
Great gas mileage, safe, great performance, great turn radius, and reliable.
Cons
Rather small on the inside and not much space for five people to get into it. Not much horse power and not many bells and whistles.
