The 2008 Toyota Yaris is a great car to start off a young person or family. It gets great gas mileage, which allows you to travel here and there without worrying about filling up every few miles. The size is compact, but can still comfortably fit four -- five in a pinch. It isn't too expensive, so it's not out of reach for anyone, but it has enough amenities that it is a car with room for growth.
Story
Going on a day trip to Santa Cruz. The drive down was fun, listening to music and getting excited about going to the beach.
Pros
The gas mileage and the size of the care are definitely my favorite features. The seating is also comfortable while not being too expensive, and the hood of the car is short, which makes it easier to park in urban areas.
Cons
The model I own doesn't have power lock doors which would make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle quickly. I also don't have automatic windows, which would be nice on days when the weather is hot outside or when there are several temperature shifts going on. The steering wheel can get hot when sitting in the sun.

The best part about this car is how convenient it is for commuting. My college is about 30 minutes away, and my Yaris gets me there and home again no problem. The car gets fabulous gas mileage. The size is also ideal. There are a lot of instances where I find myself downtown and street parking is the only option. Not a problem for the Yaris!
Story
There was one time when I was meeting friends for brunch in downtown Sacramento. The city was very busy and finding a space on the street was almost impossible. My little Yaris was the perfect size for the smallest space, though. My friends ended up circling the restaurant for almost 40 minutes before they found a space for their car. I, on the other hand, had a space in minutes.
Pros
The top positive things about the Toyota Yaris are definitely the size and the gas mileage. The car is small but extremely roomy on the inside. And because it is so compact, there is never any worry about fitting into spaces. My favorite feature by far is the trunk. The trunk is much roomier than you would believe for such a small car. Plenty of room for shopping!
Cons
The only negative for this car is the fact that you feel everything. When driving the passenger seat can feel every bump in the road. The driver can feel it too but for some reason the passenger side feels it much more.
