I like my car because I was looking for a small commuter car that would be easy to park, not use too much gas, would be reliable and within my price range, and the Yaris has been all of that. It is a small car and I am a small woman so I could understand that someone who is tall might be very uncomfortable in it, but it works perfectly for me. My particular Yaris doesn't have all the bells and whistles that newer cars have such as GPS, Keyless entry etc, but since I need it only to go back and forth to work, I feel I don't need to pay extra for those things. I have never had to take my car to the mechanic outside of regular maintenance which is important to me. It is not a car with a lot of power so if that is important, it wouldn't be a good choice. It doesn't have power windows which... (more)
Story
For a small car, it can fit my whole family of 5 (although we are very tight), and I have great memories of driving my kids to an art camp, the windows down and the Kids Bop station on Pandora blaring!
Pros
It is small and easy to park. It gets great gas mileage. It is very reliable, for it's age it has never had to go to the mechanic for a problem. It was affordable.
Cons
It doesn't have power windows. Some might find it too small. There are very few extras on my car.

When I first turned 16 I suffered with hand me down cars for about 2 years. When I turned 18, I had a decent job that allowed me to purchase my first brand new car. I chose the Yaris because of its affordability and gas mileage. I have had this care since 2008, nearly 100k miles, and have successfully driven across America in it, and brought home two babies from the hospital. I love this car, and would instantly buy it again should the day come when it finally stops working.
Story
I used to live on a mountain, and I would cram 5 people into my little Yaris. That car, even with 5 people, could easily zoom down the mountain and make for a super fun ride.
Pros
The gas mileage is awesome. I get about 36+ per gallon, and this saves me a lot of money on fill ups. I love the smaller size of the car. I can park easily, maneuver around traffic, and though I am a big guy, I still have enough room for my legs/head. I love the trunk size. The Yaris is not a big car, but don't let it's size fool you. Plenty of leg room, and plenty of trunk space to go around.
Cons
Probably my one and only complaint with this car is the recalls that have happened in the past 10 years. Toyota is always really good with replacing the faulty parts, however, so the con is really just the time involved in getting the car fixed at the dealership.
