I purchased my Yaris in 2014, and I have loved it! The size is perfect for me--a compact car that is easy as pie to park. It fits in tight spots, and I rarely have to back up and straighten out. It heats and cools quickly, and even in Colorado winters, it doesn't take too long to get the engine ready to go. There are only a few things I would change. As I have a baseline model, it does not have a back-up cam or digital center console of any sort. It also has old-fashioned roll-down windows, the sort you wouldn't even expect them to make anymore! Finally, one would expect such a small car to get better gas mileage than it does--only about 25 mpg. I am guessing some of these things would be resolved by getting a more "luxury" model rather than the bare bones one I have. Nonetheless, I ha... (more)
Story
I drove this little baby from Houston to New Orleans. After sitting in the car with a friend, streaming the Olympics for a little while, we left and went off to the French Quarter for a weekend of girls' fun! Three days later, I get back to my car and discover that my friend had left the light on, and now, naturally, the battery is dead. A kind New Orleans stranger parked in front of me happen... (more)
Pros
Small and compact. Easy to park. Easy to drive. Decent gas mileage.
Cons
Gas mileage could be better. Roll down windows are inconvenient. No back-up camera or digital console.

When I was first looking for a vehicle, I wanted a model that could satisfy my needs in terms of fuel economy (12 mpg city and highway combined), durability, practicality, safety, but most importantly, one that could match my budget. My Yaris has all of it. The overall driving experience is great with this model, even after three years of use. It still maintains the same feel as the first day. Maintenance is fairly cheap, which is something most people seem to overlook, only requiring the typical oil change and some minor tweaks. Being a "small car" it is surprisingly spacious. You feel like there is room for anything. The trunk has a good size, plus folding the seats helps with storage. I put a washing machine back there once.
Story
I had to move from an apartment to a house, and I could say that we almost didn't need a truck because I could fit most of the things inside the car (in more than one go of course).
Pros
If anything, its fuel economy is the best feature. It gives 12 mpg on average. Aside from that, you have a great and contemporary design, retractable side mirrors, a small enough size to be able to park literally anywhere. But don't think the engine is a small fry because it packs a punch: 1.3 to be exact. Its response is very quick whenever needed.
Cons
There are some cons about this model. The suspensions are not as sturdy. I feel that it was designed for a single passenger (the driver). When carrying a considerable weight, you start feeling the bumps. The infotainment system is regular to average. You don't get a lot of options aside from the aux port.
