The Toyota Tundra is one of the best looking one-half ton trucks on the market. It has plenty of power and can even tow very well. The truck bed also is equipped with rails that you can mount accessories in. I can mount my road bike in the back and lock the fork to the truck, so it won't get stolen out of the back.
Story
I love taking this truck to the lake for camping. It easily tows a boat or jet ski, and I can fit all my camping stuff in the back.
Pros
The truck is also nice because it came with a locking tailgate. The gas mileage is not the best, but it did come with a 35-gallon tank, which makes it go much further on one tank. Working with the dealership was great, and they were able to get the exact model truck with all the accessories I wanted in a very short time. The vehicle has had zero issues thus far, and I do not expect to have any issues. These trucks have a very reliable history and warranty coverage. I like that the back-up camera is built into the rear view mirror; it makes it much more intuitive when backing because you ca... (more)
Cons
I used to drive a Tacoma and upgraded for the additional size and space. The one thing I wish the Tundra had was storage behind and under the rear seats like the Tacoma does. If the truck had that extra storage, it would be perfect in pretty much every way. I wish Toyota had a diesel option.

2014 Toyota Tundra - Tundra wins.

I'm a big fan of Toyotas, and I've wanted a pickup for years so when it came time to choose a new pickup it was either a Tacoma or a Tundra. I test drove both of them and finally chose a Tundra for two reasons. I liked the extra room afforded in the larger truck and my new job is relatively close to home so gas mileage and gas prices were not that much of a factor. After 3 months of searching I found two different ones I liked and finally on a weekend in August I pulled the trigger and bought one. In the months since I haven't regretted it once. For my views, Toyota makes the highest quality vehicles around and when it comes to pickups, they beat any of the domestic trucks hands down.
Story
The clearance on a truck is great to have, even without the 4x4 option. There's been a few times when I wanted to get around another vehicle and I was able to jump a curb or median to do so.
Pros
Toyota craftsmanship, powerful engine, best looking vehicle in the full size pickup class, quiet interior, durable, best ratings on owner's review sites, roomy interior and large truck bed.
Cons
The only real con would be the gas mileage. No full size truck is going to get what I consider to be good mileage, and the Tundra is about the same as any other full size truck with a V8 engine.
