We've had our Toyota Tundra for almost 5 years now and it has never let us down! Really Love the quality and reliability of a Toyota and will always buy them for that reason! I considered other makes when purchasing, but always came back to what made sense! I have never had a mechanical issue with this vehicle but I also take good care of it. I use it for work as well as everyday driving, so it gets a lot of use.
Story
Our dog, Gus, loves to ride in the truck. He gets lots of attention when he climbs up in your lap and hangs out the window. One day a lady yelled "I want your dog" as we sat at a stop light. Gus ran to the back seat and jumped in his bed! He understand people talk.
Pros
We haul lawn care equipment with it and it does a good job handling trailers and such. The turning radius is great on it. We can load a lot in the bed of this truck which makes it super handy whether we are using it for work, moving our kids for the fifth time or picking up new furniture! It has a great stereo system and the leather seats and interior are holding up really well for an 8 year old truck. The truck rides well, has comfortable seats and gets decent gas mileage for a truck. The DVD player will be great too once our new grandson is old enough to watch movies. The GPS is another ... Cons
She's getting some scratches and dings from using it as a work vehicle, but that is to be expected. Not the truck's fault for sure. Can't say there is anything other than I wish it had keyless start like our Highlander does.

I have personally like the Tundras since the redesign in 2007. I always wanted one back then, but I was too young to afford one. I finally made the purchase after owning 5 other vehicles before this one. The level of quality in the design is held to a much higher standard, even compared to American trucks during the same time frame. The interior is spacious, and while the finish is plastic, it is high quality. No rattles or shakes to speak of. The truck drives very smooth even after having 80,000 miles on the odometer. I have taken it off-roading and have never gotten stuck. The factory tires on the rock warrior model work well for anything not too extreme. The double cab is plenty of room for a family of three and a dog, with all our camping gear, to head into the mountains for a wee... (more)
Story
Taking this truck out for our first camping trip after we bought it. We went 4 wheeling and had a lot of fun driving around mountain roads and through the woods.
Pros
Sturdy feel while driving. No creaks or noises in the cab. Bluetooth. Spacious. 4 wheel drive, diff lock with rock warrior package. Towing package offers ample towing. Great design. Built in America, designed in Japan. Sturdy suspension on Rock Warrior model. Steering wheel controls. Tow mirrors for seeing in the blind spot. Plenty of in cab storage. Heated mirrors for the winter months. Plenty of power. Decent highway gas mileage (19-20mpg).
Cons
Small bed (short bed, 6'). Hard to park in parking lots. Big blind spot without tow mirrors. Expensive parts. Expensive MSRP. Holds value (good for owner, but bad for anyone looking to buy used). Horrible city mileage. After market parts don't offer much performance. Super charger kit is $5,000. Dash is hard to see with polarized glasses. Factory tires are bad in the snow. Front rotors can warp easily due to weight of the truck. Some people experience bed bounce, haven't myself. Accessories are expensive (like weather mate floor mats). Aftermarket performance parts are expensive.
