1997 Toyota Tercel - Reliable car
I really like this car because of its reliability. I have had it for a few years, and thankfully it's still hanging in there for my family and I. I also really like that it is a gas saver. I can put twenty dollars of gas, and it would last me for about a week with my normal driving routine. With gas being so high now, that is definitely a plus. I also like that it is pretty small in size. The one thing that I can say I dislike about it is that the windows are not automatic and it is a two door. So you basically have to manually roll down the windows, instead of being able to do it automatically with the push of a button. It is sometimes a little more difficult getting the kids in and out of the car. Also, I know a lot of new cars have the rear view camera, and I know that my car is out... (more)
Story
One fun time was when I drove my kids to the library in it for the first time. They were happy because it was a new car to them. It was a nice experience to share with them.
Pros
The top positive thing is that this car is a gas saver. My favorite feature is its reliability.
Cons
The top negative thing I would have to say about this vehicle is that it is a bit outdated so it does not have automatic windows. You manually have to roll them down, and that can be a bit of an inconvenience.
2000 Toyota Tercel - I am very satisfied with the performance of this vehicle. I am calm and happy.
This vehicles is good, when I bought it, I changed some things but only aesthetic things, the engine is very good, I have traveled 20,000 miles, it is very good, the engine does not drown, it is thrifty, it is one of the things that I appreciate the most. The model is very recent but it really meets my needs, I did the revision and when I did it I did not really find many problems only aesthetic and I changed some parts like the brakes the shock absorbers, but they were things that have to be maintained.
Story
Once I came with some friends from a party in San Diego and the car was turned off I was worried that it was not possible I stayed on the highway, it was funny because I only needed a cleaning in the battery, that's why we did not start we laughed a lot That time with my friends.
Pros
The best things, the positive things, it's very economical, that helps me a lot, I have not had many problems with this vehicle, the features, the savings, the engine is very good engine, the air system works well the brakes the box In this way, preferably, I think that these cars were the best in their time, it really has many good characteristics.
It has a stiffer body.
It offers standard of driver and passenger.
It also has three-point belts for the future and for the rear passengers and adjustable side shoulder belt anchor points for the front seat passengers.
anti-lock brakes.

Cons
Really this model does not give many problems or does not have many bad things but that depends on the maintenance that you can give in my case the against would be the model is not so recent, but I am satisfied, the first days I tried it if I had many problems like for example change the brakes, the pump and the sensor, change dampers I really speak from my experience with this vehicle I have little time to have it but I have not had many against, if I had to change many things but only routine maintenance, I changed paint too and had a stroke, but it's just routine maintenance.

1995 Toyota Tercel - I love this car
What can I say, this car is small but scrappy. I have totaled this thing twice but with every repair it just keeps running as if nothing happened. It gets amazing gas mileage which is important to me because I have a very far work commute. Due to the aforementioned commute, this car has a lot of wear and tear yet it just keeps going. A major advantage of its tiny size is how cheap it is to replace the tires; I usually get them for about 60 usd each. At just under 300,000 miles, the engine is still sound as ever. The car is pretty drab on the inside but I think the car itself has a pretty adorable body. Despite the small size, the car has strangely ample trunk space. Woe unto anyone over 5'7" who tries to get in the thing though, it really is a tiny car best suited for tiny people. On t... (more)
Story
This was no fun but it was certainly memorable: I was driving back home on a windy afternoon. My commute includes crossing a bridge over a large river. As I crossed the river, a powerful gust of wind blew and completely tore the steering wheel out of my hand, causing me to swerve around on the bridge. Nobody else was out at that time of night, thank goodness, but it was pretty scary.
Pros
Great on gas, essentially indestructible
Cons
Tiny, no power components
