The Toyota Tacoma is a reliable and well-built truck. With over 220,000 miles, my truck is still going strong with practically zero work ever having been performed on the vehicle. The bed is rather small, but you are still quite easily able to fit an ATV in it for outdoor activities. The front seats are nice however if you push them back quite far to fit taller people it really closes in the rear seats. Power for pulling trailers is excellent, and it has pulled many loads throughout my time having it. Overall, a very well-built truck that has been a reliable vehicle for many thousands of miles and will continue to do such for many years to come.
Story
Once while hunting I was going down a muddy road and when turning, I slid off into a ditch. I was not able to get out but was very close. A friend on an ATV was able to easily pull me back onto the road with no problems.
Pros
Truck is small and light. Reliability is off the charts. Keep up with basic maintenance and it will drive forever with no issues. When break downs do occur, parts are relatively cheap and most parts stores have them in stock. Power is very strong, and it will pull most trailers with relative ease. The truck also holds it value extremely well and resale values are very high.
Cons
The seats are not that comfortable for long rides. The gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired. In town gas mileage is about 15 mpg where as highway is about 17-18 mpg. The truck also rides very rough and is very bouncy on rough roads. The main con is the insurance prices. The price to insure this truck is much higher than other trucks of the same year. I can own a much newer truck and still pay less on the insurance prices.

The Toyota Tacoma is a solid truck. It has proven to be a sturdy truck that can last for several hundred thousand miles. This truck will fit your needs if you only drive on the paved roads, off-road in light trail driving, and serious off-roading in remote locations. The quality seems very solid and without issue. Doors have a solid feel to them as does the bed of the truck.
Story
During the test drive of the vehicle at the dealership, I pushed the vehicles limits as much as I could with the salesman in the front seat with me. He looked mighty concerned that I was going to damage the vehicle. I needed to make sure that the vehicle was going to fit my needs. I was then later told that this same salesman was taken through the drive through at a fast food restaurant just t... (more)
Pros
My favorite feature of this vehicle is that it is a double-cab that has a sporty look. Other vehicles don't have the lines that this vehicle has which is a big plus for the Tacoma. The other benefits of the Tacoma are the built in power inverter and off-road capabilities. Another pro for this vehicle is the built-in phone support with the steering wheel controls and the Bluetooth audio through the stereo. This feature makes it great for answering a quick call while on the move without having to take your hands off the wheel.
Cons
The biggest complaints about the Tacoma is storage. The built-in storage behind and below the seats could be better. The plastic inserts inside the vehicle seem to take up to much useful space that could be used more wisely. I will be looking to find a way to replace these in the future with something else.

I feel that this dealership was the best because it was very professional with many different types of cars available. The customer service was fair and the prices of the cars were affordable. This location was also near my house which made it that much easier for myself.

Willing to work with first time buyers. Had a fully loaded model but not the color I wanted, found one in a different color and gave me a $1,000 off of msrp, due to not having a car that was said to be on the lot.
