In general, the Toyota Tacoma is a great midsized truck. I like the size and maneuverability of the truck. It comes in both two- and four-wheel drive.
Story
The Tacoma features a choice of bed styles, 60.5 inches or 73.7 inches long, dependent on which body style youÕve chosen. My test vehicle's short beds provided plenty of cargo room for hauling well over a dozen bags of lawn refuse to the city recycling center. The optional hard tonnoeau cover is easy to remove with just a single bolt and a couple of latches. I did not do any towing with the Ta... (more)
Pros
One of the TacomaÕs strengths is the wide variety of trims and features available, making it accessible to many across several price levels. It starts with the cheap base SR four-cylinder, 2WD Access Cab truck at $24,200 (all prices include destination), and covers several trim levels: SR, SR V-6, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road and Limited. The 4WD TRD Off-Road focuses on suspension bits with an off-road-tuned setup complete with Bilstein shock absorbers, a lockable rear differential, ToyotaÕs advanced electronic active traction control and 16-inch wheels on chunky off-road tires, and starts... Cons
Handling is nothing special Ñ it feels well-controlled in either version, with pronounced body roll in both the Limited and TRD Off-Road, which has a softer suspension.

The 2010 Toyota Tacoma is very much like any other Tacoma. Very dependable easy to work and a lot of fun to drive. As a midsize it's easier to park an maneuver than full-size trucks and gets better gas mileage. As a truck that a lot of people own, funding OEM or very similar parts is very easy. The truck is not expensive to maintain, as it takes standard oil and filter.
Story
Driving the truck through the woods to go hunting. Although a two-wheel drive, it had no problem navigating the terrain.
Pros
The biggest pro of this truck is the size. It is a reasonable size for hauling campers, boats, and ATVs but not so large that it's difficult park. It is easy to maintain with plenty of people owning these trucks and lots of online resources.
Cons
The biggest con with this model year is the rear driver's side leaf spring squeaks. It is a pain, and Toyota issued a recall. Luckily, they are easy to replace as well, but for the price of these trucks, you shouldn't have to.
