2006 Toyota Sienna - Very dependable vehicle
I purchased my 2006 Toyota Sienna new. It has been quiet, comfortable, spacious and versatile. I haven't experienced any major mechanical problems except the air conditioner compressor last year and one side door handle feels like it's about to break if you pull too hard. No rattles or noises, very quiet ride. Quality of the interior is as good as day one; Toyota quality all the way.
Story
Drove many many miles in this van 3 1/2 hours to our lake home and many many miles traveling to dog shows. Lots of memories in this one!
Pros
Comfort and quiet ride. Good premium sound. Dependable transportation you can always expect from Toyota, that's all I drive. Love the flexibility of the removable captains chairs, great for hauling my dogs and their crates and large items. My van has towing package on it and we pulled a trailer without any problems and no drag plenty of power.
Cons
Didn't really care for the run flat tires, and not too crazy about the auto-locking doors. Other than that, really nothing negative to say. I have purchased several Toyotas, both new and used, over the years and never had any major mechanical problems. You can drive them over 200,000 and still have some equity in the vehicle with very little maintenance.
I guess better gas mileage would have been nice.
2016 Toyota Sienna - Excellent family vehicle
The Sienna is an excellent vehicle for families. There is plenty of room for everyone to ride comfortably and have space to stretch out. The hatchback opens to a deep trunk area for some extra storage space. The back seats will fold down easily to transport larger items, and the bucket seats in the middle are able to be removed if needed for extra storage space. The controls from the driver seat are easy to navigate and are well placed for convenient usage during driving. There are several controls for the stereo system and phone on the steering wheel, which make things even easier. My absolute favorite feature is the back-up camera and notifications. It's really saved me a few times! I only wish the gas mileage was a little bit higher.
Story
We purchased the Sienna because we have three young kids and a large dog. We knew that the day will come when the kids start having sporting events to travel to and will need equipment transported. But more urgent, was the impending family vacation to Florida. We knew that taking the kids and the dog 13 hours away in a small car was not going to be a pleasant trip. Pros
My favorite feature is the back-up camera. I love that it has a wide angle and will beep if another vehicle or pedestrian is approaching from outside of the viewing area. The vehicle has excellent visibility and is so spacious and comfortable. The ride is smooth too! Ample storage space.
Cons
Wish the gas mileage was higher. A bug hit my bumper and cracked the paint, which then started flaking off at the car wash.
