Overall, the vehicle can be summarized as a fun car. It is especially a good car for younger folks who are always on the go. It's one of those cars that may look small on the outside but has a decent amount of room on the inside including the trunk. The vehicle handles turns very well and provides a Jeep-like feel to it as you sit somewhat elevated as compared to most lower-riding sedans. I hate to say it, but I feel that a lot of single and younger women would like this car for that feeling of sitting somewhat "higher-up." Whether it is taking the car to the beach or to the mountains, the 2000 RAV4 seemed (seems) like a good little car to do the job.
Story
I have used the car as a baby pacifier. The low rumbling vibrations have helped to put my infant kids to sleep at nap time.
Pros
I really like the elevated seating. It gives a refreshing feeling of "being above the crowd" and not feeling stuffy as you might in many lower-riding sedans. The vehicle is very small and compact to today's larger SUVs and even mini-SUVs, including the current year RAV4s. But even though the 2000 RAV4 may look small on the outside, it has a spacious trunk area good for carrying many things - e.g., groceries, camping gear, etc. The gas mileage is also very good as compared to many of today's gas guzzling cars. I have also found the engine and transmission are of top-notch quality. They have... (more)
Cons
The seating may be advertised as being able to accommodate five people, but realistically, it can only accommodate four relatively fit (skinny) people. This is not a van; it is made to be small and nimble. Also, while the car design may be good, it can seem "boxy" and somewhat ugly depending on how one looks at it, especially when compared to the more streamlined designs of most mini-SUVs today.

When I purchased my vehicle I was looking for something a little more roomier than a car, we traveled a lot and needing packing space. I didn't want to be a mini van mom, so I opted for a compact SUV. I have had this vehicle for 6 years and it has never let me down, I have only recently had a problem mechanically and it was a simple fix and not the fault of the vehicle but the cheap battery made the alternator go out. I have traveled many states in this vehicle and would buy it again except for the fact that my family has grown beyond comfort for this vehicle. We all still fit, but it is more cramped with 5 bodies in the vehicle, 2 in car seats, which take up a ton of room. A family with 2 or less children, this is a great little SUV, I would highly recommend.
Story
Going fishing is always a fun memorable time, we have taken many fishing trips in this vehicle.
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle is one the color is my favorite of any vehicle I have owned. Two the safety is a major selling point of any vehicle purchase I take on, this one meets the marks. The gas mileage is great as well. I love all the little compartments that the vehicle has as well as the accessories that come for the back of the suv, and roof rack.
Cons
As our family grew, we have steadily out grew the comfort we once had, the size is exactly what it is a compact SUV. Other than that I have noting bad to say about it.

Friendly staff, the sales person was not pushy (as opposed to the other dealerships in the Area). I was considering several vehicles including the RAV4, CRV, Rogue, etc. Ultimately I went with this place because the staff seemed genuine and not pushy at all.

The sales staff were very friendly and let me look at the car with no pressure. They answered my questions and did not push me into buying it. The service area was really nice.
