I own a blue Toyota RAV4. I bought it in Bourne, MA, at 5,0000 miles about six months ago. I've put on 5,000 miles so far and have had no issues with the car. The car has a few dings and dents, but $10,000 for a low mileage quality SUV is perfect for me and my family. One little nugget is that I seem to own the only RAV4 who's "4" on the trunk is colored red. I really have no complaints about the car, although it does concern me that the steering wheel plastic outside of where the key is inserted separates so I had to duct tape it together. I've had no performance issues and no major malfunctions with the vehicle.
Story
My most fun and memorable story in the vehicle is when we decided to take my dad's treadmill from his old house and move it to his new house. We were so impressed that we were able to fit this massive treadmill in a midsize SUV.
Pros
Plenty of leg room in the back. I'm able to fit two car seats and it doesn't feel cramped. It has all-wheel drive, which makes me feel safer in the winter with my family. The back seats fold down so I can fit large items in my car if needed. It is ideal for grocery shopping due to trunk space.
Cons
The compartment above the glove box has a flimsy open and close button that doesn't work. The vehicle isn't as fuel efficient as our Corolla. The arm rest compartment has broken plastic so it doesn't work properly so we just don't use it.

The 2009 Toyota RAV4 is stylish and dependable. It is a great all-around mid-priced vehicle that performs well in all weather conditions. It is a quality vehicle that has needed only regular maintenance.
Story
The most memorable story I have using my RAV4 was driving home from work in a blizzard. Most other vehicles were stranded on a steep incline, but my RAV4 just kept going. It took 4 hours, but I made it home without getting stuck in the snow.
Pros
My favorite feature of the 2009 Toyota RAV4 is the rear cargo area door. Most SUVs have a top-hinged hatch, but the RAV4 has a door that swings open. Another great feature is the option to fold down the split backs seats by using either the levers that are conveniently located in the rear cargo area or by using the levers on the sides of the seats. The RAV4 is equipped with a premium sound system. The 4-cylinder engine is extremely peppy, with quick acceleration and great performance in hilly terrains. The 4-wheel drive ensures great performance in snowy conditions.
Cons
The driver’s seat is uncomfortable for long trips. The edge of the seat is too firm and has a tendency to cause numbness after sitting in the same position for a long time. The road noise level is a bit loud, especially on rough roads. The driver’s power window is sometimes difficult to control. You have to press the power button quickly and release it quickly to open the window a crack. If you hold the button too long, the window goes all the way down.
