The 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE has proven to be an excellent value for its cost. I love the responsiveness of the steering and the design of the dash. I've had no maintenance issues to complain about and find the features available more than sufficient for a non-luxury SUV. This is the second RAV4 I've owned. The previous was a 2011 Sport, and I find I like this year and model even better than the 2011. The handling is very smooth, and I appreciate the addition of a back-up camera. There is plenty of space for hauling various items, and the AWD responds excellently to snowy conditions. Overall, the vehicle exceeds the expectations of a similar-sized SUV at this price point.
Story
I learned this vehicle is not prone to roll when it is stopped on hills. I was waiting to parallel park on a hill in this SUV and discovered I did not need to have one foot on the brake and the other on the gas while attempting to maintain the correct position.
Pros
I love how little money I have to spend to maintain this vehicle. The space in the back is typically sufficient for hauling, and the rear seats fold completely flat to provide more room. The quality of the sound system is great and has many options which can be customized. I also appreciate that the oil only has to be changed every 10,000 miles. The SUV offers a very smooth ride and good acceleration when switched to sport mode. The temperature controls allow for precise adjustment to keep the passengers comfortable on long trips.
Cons
I do not find the gas mileage anywhere close to what was promoted, even with perfectly inflated tires, a recent balancing, and driving under "eco" mode. I also wish the info-tainment system was more easily compatible with iPhones. It did not seem as intuitive to set up as with other vehicles I test drove while shopping for a different vehicle. I also preferred the older style models where the spare tire was on the rear of the vehicle and there was extra storage in the back section. Although storage is usually sufficient, that is one feature Toyota changed that I do not like.

I absolutely love this vehicle. It performs well, I have yet to have a problem with it, and from what I've heard if I maintain it I can expect it to run for 300k miles. It is spacious and full of features.
Story
Driving to and from NY and showing my friends and family my vehicle and them being happy for me but at the same time telling me they were jealous (of course jokingly). We went fishing and sight-seeing.
Pros
I love how my vehicle has a monitor where I can synchronize my phone. It does well on gas (3$ a gallon = 27$ to fill up, close to 30mpg) It has a rearview camera in the rearview mirror Hidden compartments in trunk Audio quality is stupendous Heated seats in both the front and the back seats
Cons
The only con I can say about this vehicle is that I do not like the fact that I cannot start it up, lock the doors, and walk away from it; the doors will automatically unlock themselves.
