2008 Toyota RAV4 - Very happy with reliable car
I have been extremely happy with my purchase of the RAV4, and have not once regretted it or wished I had gotten a different vehicle. It's great for hauling loads around, and with the trailer hitch and tow package I'm easily able to pull loads.
Story
I live in the country, and I'm able to take the vehicle back into the woods. I'm not worried about it getting stuck.
Pros
I enjoy the large windshield, it allows for a wide view of the road. Large side mirrors, make me feel like I'm not missing anything. I do like the full size spare tire, and that it is not mounted under the vehicle. I've seen far too many spares get rusted into place under the vehicle.
Cons
The side hinged rear door makes it difficult to haul items that do not fit inside the vehicle. The seats are not the most comfortable for long rides. The back seat is tight trying to fit 3 adults.
2016 Toyota RAV4 - Great car for new drivers.
Overall, a fantastic car for new drivers! Spacious so that new drivers don't feel claustrophobic on the road but small enough to control easily. I was a commuter student, so I put plenty of miles on the car and had absolutely zero issues.
Story
One fun memory would be when I drove to the lake during the summer and put all the seats down in the back to have a picnic on the lake.
Pros
Drove this car through the snow storms of upstate Wisconsin and felt 100% safe even as a new driver. The space in the truck was perfect for moving my things into college, and the back row lets friends sit in the back comfortably. This is the best car for road trips, when you want to relax and watch the stars or just sit in the car the seats can be put down and blankets laid down in the back.
Cons
There aren't many cons related to this car. All I'd say is the color I had (dark green) was slightly unpalatable, but it grew on me over time.
