I needed a car with four-wheel drive for an upcoming road trip during the winter. The RAV4 provided all-wheel drive and plenty of storage space for hauling my luggage and camping gear.
Story
We took this car on a cross-country road trip from the East coast of NC to the far west coast of Washington state. We car camped along the entire route covering over 1,000 miles, and it was an awesome trip.
Pros
I like the color (white). I like the black fabric interior. I like the four-wheel drive and cruise control. I like the Bluetooth connectivity. I like that I sit up high and have good visibility when I drive. I like the rear-view backing camera. I like the radio control feature on the steering wheel
Cons
It would be great if it got better gas mileage, and it would be better if the hybrid model got better gas mileage. I would prefer a hybrid, but for the money, it was not worth it to me.

The RAV4 looks great! Inside the car, it is very comfortable, leather heated seats make this a very nice ride in the winter. I'm a taller person, and don't feel cramped at all, even in the back seat. Plenty of leg room and convenient cup holder locations make this a smart design. The back has plenty of room for my personal needs, and the seats fold down which has come in handy a number of times.
Story
This car is one of the first cars I had that had a decent sound system. It caught me off guard when I first started playing some bass heavy music, it made me chuckle to realize I was able to vibrate the car with my music.
Pros
The RAV4 has power. It is a V6 and can get up to speed and then some extremely quick. It's a very smooth ride, great looking design, and feel luxurious on the inside. The RAV4 can handle snow easily, and I don't feel nervous at all driving in the winter months. There is plenty of space in the back for groceries, moving (smaller) furniture, driving the dogs around.
Cons
There aren't a whole lot of negatives, but there are a few. It doesn't have extremely great gas mileage, but when you consider the size of the RAV4, it really isn't all that bad. One gripe I have which isn't necessarily a shortcoming for the RAV4 for many people is it's size. I don't necessarily like driving larger SUV/Trucks, and the RAV4 definitely makes me realize I am not in a sedan.

Simpson Auto is hands down the best dealership on the western slope. They are honest, hardworking people that are local to the valley and have been here for ages. Never before in my life have I actually trusted a car dealership or a mechanic, but the people here changed that in an instant. They are all about the customer and will go out of their way to help you out. Their head mechanic, Jim, is the nicest and most down to earth man you will ever meet. I don't have a bad word to say about him. He is fair, does excellent work, is honest and reliable, and stands behind what he does. Every car we purchase from here has performed flawlessly and run all but trouble free for tens of thousands of miles. If you need work done to your car or are looking for a new one, come here first.
