I used to live on a piece of ranch land about twenty miles outside of a small town in rural Texas. Every day, I had to drive forty-five minutes to get to work and the same distance to get back afterwards. Early on, I had a Dodge Neon that was very unreliable and often gave me trouble. But when I bought my RAV4, my experience driving dramatically improved. The car was rock solid, easy to maintain, and worked for me every time I needed it.
Story
I drove to Missouri and back in it, and the car was rock solid.
Pros
The best things about my RAV4 were its reliability and ease in maintenance. Toyota is known for vehicles that go and go, and my vehicle was no exception. It also had plenty of storage room in the back, without being too large and unwieldy. It also had cruise control, which felt like a treat to me after the lousy car I had before my RAV4. The vehicle was affordable as well - I purchased it used in San Antonio for around 8000, and it was a great deal. I was able to sell it three years later for almost as much.
Cons
The only bad experience I had with my RAV4 is actually kind of embarrassing. One night I left my headlights on and accidentally ran my battery down. The next morning I tried to jump start my car using jumper cables and my girlfriend's car, but I was not able to find the battery! Turns out is located under the passenger side windshield wiper...

This SUV type has good pick up when I'm taking off from a stop light or if I need to pass. It has a button that you can push, if you need a little more pick up to pass a vehicle, which is nice. I don't like the intermediate windshield wipers on this Toyota. They are more like a basic model because there doesn't seem to be enough choices, like other cars I have had in the past. Overall, it's a good car.
Story
After we moved into a new house, we went to the local nursery to buy plants for the backyard. I wanted to buy a small oak tree for the backyard to plant. I really did not expect it to fit, but when I folded my seats down, it did!
Pros
The first thing I liked and noticed about this RAV 4 is that it is the roomiest. The back seats are not cramped at all. The very back of the car has enough room for all of our stuff when we go camping and out of town. The back seats will also fold down if you need extra space for something extra long to take with you or to take home.
Cons
The windshield wiper controls seem backward. The settings are very sparse, meaning you don't get many choices. This is just a pet peeve of mine. On the interior of the doors, there's metal-like trim that is easily scratched, making it seem a little cheap in appearance.

We had a wonderful salesman. There was no hard sale and although we had to push him for a fair trade in amount on a used Toyota Matrix- he finally agreed.
