The vehicle was designed for consumers wanting a vehicle that had most of the benefits of SUVs, such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, and the option of full-time, four-wheel drive, along with the maneuverability and fuel economy of a compact car.
Story
The RAV4 is the only compact SUV or crossover available from Toyota. In other markets, it is the crossover counterpart of the Toyota FJ Cruiser.
Pros
The Toyota RAV4 is a compact crossover SUV (sport-utility vehicle) produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota. This first compact crossover SUV made its debut in Japan and Europe in 1994 and in North America in 1995.
2005 Toyota RAV4 - Rav4 -- great car.
I chose Toyota because they are so reliable. Very reliable. If you are in the market for a compact SUV, it will be worth your time to seriously consider the Toyota RAV4. The instrument panel is laid out well, even for a 2005. There is ample room to seat five persons comfortably.
Story
My Rav4 performed great with icy road conditions. This past winter, I was able to take a family member to work because their car couldn't handle ice on the roads.
