I have the Toyota RAV 4 LXT. It has a sun roof and a automatic lift on the back hatch. I feel like it is a quality-made vehicle. I have owned other types of vehicles like a Hyundai, GMC as well as a Ford. I always come back to a Toyota. All the Toyota vehicles I have ever owned never needed repairs. The RAV has a tight handling as far as the steering and maneuvering on the road. The road noise is very little. I love the sun roof, and it is well organized on the inside. It is very comfortable on long road trips. I am a teacher, and as such, I transport a lot of things to school and home. It is easy to get in and out of and will carry a lot of cargo. I also have arthritis and have a hard time getting in and out of many vehicles. The RAV 4 is at a height that is totally comfortable to get... (more)
Story
I would tell them about the trip I took from East Texas to Central Georgia to see my sister. It took 16 hours to get there. I would tell them about the comfort of the drive and ride as well as clearly being able to listen to books on tape as well as music because the road noise was so low. I would tell them about the ease of giving loved ones updates on where I was using the Bluetooth hands fr... (more)
Pros
The price!!! The comfort of the seats, the sun roof, the limited road noise, the easy handling while driving, the ease of getting in and out of the seats, the ease of getting in and out of the cargo area.
Cons
The shape of the nose of the RAV 4.

2016 Toyota RAV4 - Excellent compact SUV.

The Toyota Rav4 is an excellent vehicle for my needs. During my research for a new vehicle, the RAV4 had good crash test ratings with decent fuel economy. At time of purchase that was a big concern due to gas prices. The options to have a sport mode with an ECO mode for the automatic transmission also was a plus given my occasional lead foot. I can typically get an average of 23 MPG with a fair combination of city and highway driving. Another pro would be the abundance of cargo space. I have come to the need to move some furniture. After putting the rear row down, I was able to fit a 6ft shelf easily with 2 end tables. The seats are comfortable as well which makes road trips nice. A major con would be the infotainment system which lags all the time as well as the fee to have the update... (more)
Story
I went deer hunting with a buddy because we were curious with exactly how spacious the cargo space is. We were able to successfully put an adult buck in after putting the rear row down.
Pros
As mentioned above the pros would include the abundant cargo space that it comes with, crash test ratings, gas economy and the different drive modes that determine how much it accelerates. Seats are very comfortable.
Cons
Infotainment system is absolutely garbage. Lags frequently and will become unresponsive. Trying to be productive with the voice control is impossible and getting notifications of texts, emails or calls it will lag. Toyota also charges a ridiculous amount of money just to have the navigation maps updated.
