The Toyota Rav4 is a great car. It is very spacious and has great trunk space. It can comfortably fit a family of 5. It drives smoothly and is very quite. I have had it for 2 years and have put 30000 miles on it. It makes no interior noise and sounds just like it did from day one. If you are traveling, it easily fits luggage. The power steering, 4 wheel drive, etc. work great. The backup mirror is a great addition to this car. The gas mileage is decent and has a large enough tank. The stereo is great. It has satellite radio as well. I have never had any issues with that or any electric components. It also has a good amount of horse power. It can get up to speed pretty quickly. It goes from 0-60 in a respectable pace.

Pros
This car has great size, back up mirror, and is a good looking car. I love the backup mirror as well as the satellite radio.
Cons
The gas mileage could be a little better. It is decent but could be improved on.

I think the build is really great, and I would definitely purchase this car again. I love that the trunk opens from the side and not from the bottom - that was one of the biggest selling points for me. Also, it has a giant trunk and has extra cargo space under the floor mat to boot. It's like the storage space just keeps popping up out of nowhere in this thing. It's amazing. For a mom, it's a dream machine. It has great performance in the snow, this thing really gets up and goes in two foot snowfall, my 4-wheel drive has never failed me. I also have found with maintenance care, everything seems to start to go bad right on schedule. So as long as I take it to the dealership, I know what's up when it's happening. Story
We had so much fun going tot the beach in the car, we packed this baby down to the rim... We had a Pack and play, stroller, crib, the baby, 3 different suitcases and 3 bags of toys. We also had all of the food in here too along with a dog and drove from Va to Sc. It was insane how much this thing held but we made it there and all one tank of gas!! This car is a beast!!!!!!!
Pros
I really love that the RAV4 didn't look like a mom car. I adore the never ending storage space. I have never been to a hateful Toyota dealership, so if you have to buy a car, get a Toyota. The performance of my car has always been on point, the 4-wheel drive, the engine is a beast. I could go mudding in this thing if I did that sort of thing. I love that I can pack down my car to the max and never lose any power. My car has a really sporty feel. My seats clean up really easy even though they are cloth. Cons
I didn't like that this SUV couldn't handle 3 car seats in the back. I was surprised as how many neat things they had that you had to buy as extras that should have come with your vehicle new (like a cover for your trunk to hide what was in it, since it's just a big window back there and Ford Escapes provided you with one). It was an insanely expensive car compared to the other comparable vehicles on the market. This didn't have as high of a safety rating as I wanted, wish I would have known that looking back.
