I love driving the RAV4. Its a cute SUV that's not too big. It has decent room and seats at least 4 very comfortably. The back seats can fold down to give more room if needed. I have been able to haul Large sized, flattened boxes in the RAV. They fit perfectly when the seats are dropped down, and I was able to stack about 50 of them inside the car easily. When you are traveling with people in the back seat and they don't like sitting straight up in the back seat, they can adjust it to lean to their liking. The RAV gets amazing gas mileage. I did have an issue with an annoying squeaking coming from the back of the car, that nobody could tell me what it was coming from. A friend that had a RAV before me said that she dealt with a squeaking too. No major issues have been needed to take ca... (more)
Story
I took this car on a road trip to North Carolina, the Outer Banks. It was such a pleasant drive. The car was comfortable. My friends that went with me really enjoyed the trip too. Plus with the car doing so well on gas, it was over a 4 hour round-trip, I didn't have to fill up the car until I got back home, which I really enjoyed and my friends were amazed about it.
Pros
The RAV gets wonderful gas mileage, especially for a small SUV. The car is very comfortable to drive, especially for small road trips.
Cons
The squeaking is very annoying, must always have a radio going, to drown out the squeaking noise. The recall on parts was frustrating, most places didn't receive the parts I needed to fix my car for months.

2010 Toyota RAV4 - Wonderful family car.

The car has done really well for me. I have driven it over 100,000 miles and only had to fix a few things on it. Everything about this car looks and seems to be high quality. It has remained a beautiful car, despite being over 10 years old. It has went from a single person's car to a married couple to a family of three and now a family of four. Through all of these transitions, the Rav4 has remained the perfect vehicle for our family. It has been used to move items to two new homes, hold luggage and souvenirs for trips, and take us on many adventures. I would definitely recommend this car for anyone who wants a beautiful, practical, and dependable ride.
Story
My family and I took the car to see fireworks for the 4th of July. We opened the trunk and sat inside to watch. It was a nice cozy spot to sit and enjoy the view.
Pros
The Rav4 is very practical. It is a great family car. There is an option to add in a 3rd row seat if desired. There is a really large amount of space in the trunk, as well as a compartment underneath the trunk. This makes it a great vehicle for hauling items. If you lay down the back seat, the trunk can fit a decent-sized recliner. It can also hold many items when moving. The car gets good gas mileage overall. I usually get about 23 mpg. The seats are comfortable. There are pockets on the back of the seats for holding items, as well as a nice console with two compartments. The spare tire i... (more)
Cons
There are a few cons about the vehicle. While you can add in a 3rd row seat, there would not be much trunk space left. I have had to get more maintenance work done on it than my parents have on their Honda CRV, which is very similar in age and mileage. For example, I have had to replace the battery a couple of times and the air conditioner had to be repaired.
