2007 Toyota RAV4 - I love this SUV
My husband and I bought a Toyota before this vehicle and still have it and love it. When we purchased the Toyota Rav 4 we were looking for a car that would suit our family of 4 and most importantly be able to drive off road. We take our vehicle camping and travelling and we even drive on the beach. Since having it, it runs perfectly. I have not had one problem with it and it is a used vehicle. In addition to the car itself, the Toyota dealership is so helpful. They always make sure they take care of every problem thoroughly and they included a 2 year warranty with the car, which was very important to me. I am so happy with our Rav 4 so far and my whole family likes it. There is plenty of room in the back and trunk to fit everyone comfortably as well as packing up to travel. There is pl... (more)

Cons
A little smaller than we would like
2007 Toyota RAV4 - Solid reliable typical Toyota - lasts forever.
I have owned many cars in the past but Toyotas have proven to be the very best. Of those, my '07 RAV4 has been at the top. Why? It's beyond reliable - has only needed regular maintenance (which I do myself) and wear-and-tear items (tires, brakes, etc.) for the past five years and over 100,000 miles I've driven it. I bought it used with over 100,000 miles from the original owner, who cared for it. I have cared for it as well and expect it will last as long as I care to own it. Performance-wise, it's about what you'd expect for a car of this spec (4 cylinder). Gets great fuel mileage (about 31 MPG highway, 26 MPG city), and is reasonably peppy to drive, but isn't a racecar by any means. It can haul pretty much anything you need, and the 4WD system is great in the snow or bad weather. Sty... (more)
Story
I took the RAV on a 1,800+ road trip across the country in 2017 and had a blast. I camped with it, navigated twisty mountain roads, even did some off-road driving. It was a terrific trip (I went solo) and the car was 100% the entire trip, handled everything I threw at it without complaint, got great fuel mileage mostly, and performed like a champ even with the 4 cylinder.
Pros
Overall reliability. Value for the price. Performance. Fuel Mileage. Hauling ability.
Cons
This particular car has/had an issue with high oil consumption in the 4 cylinder engine, due to faulty piston ring design. The previous owner had that fixed at the dealer and the car has not had any problems burning oil, fortunately. Other than that I really can't think of anything negative, other than the fuel economy might be a little better.
