Toyota Prius Owner Ratings & Reviews

2011 Toyota Prius - Comfort and reliability in one family-sized package!
You simply can't beat the gas mileage of the Prius, nor it's comfortable ride. The Prius has been a great fit for our family, as it allows us to lug lots of stuff around and save lots of money at the pump. The biggest negative I'd say about the Prius is that it's not built for long trips. We drove it from Illinois to Florida last year, and the seats got really uncomfortable about several hours. It's a great commuter car, but I wouldn't plan on driving to the Grand Canyon with it or anything.
Story
We took it to Florida and back! It was quite a journey, and it wasn't always fun, but it's wonderful to see a car like this be able to handle an almost 4,000-mile trip.
Pros
I routinely get 45 mpg on my Prius. I fill up every other week, and it's only about 20 dollars each time! It's incredibly reliable too. I've never had a single driving problem with the car since I've owned it. Wonderful commuter vehicle!
Cons
Not a great car for long trips! The seats get incredibly uncomfortable after a few hours, lumbar support or no.
2011 Toyota Prius - Toyota quality and great mileage!
We had to get a new vehicle when our previous car's transmission went out. Frustrated with dealing with seemingly constant vehicle issues, I decided our next vehicle would be a car with a reputation for quality and good gas mileage. After a great deal of research, I decided to get a Prius. We bought a used 2011 Prius from our local Toyota dealer and I can't be happier. It's the best car we've ever owned hands down.
Story
My family took a trip in the Prius to Florida from Illinois and back, ended up being almost 2500 miles of driving total. It handled perfectly the whole way and was a great experience. This car is definitely great for vacations!
Pros
The Prius has a comfortable interior that is more spacious than you'd think looking at it from the outside. The hatchback offers great storage options for vacations or for shopping. It gets 45 mpg regularly, and generally costs us about 20-25 dollars to fill up from empty here in the Midwest.
Cons
I'm not sure what Toyota means by it getting 60 mpg at all. I have driven it for the better pat of a year now, and the most I've ever gotten is 45 mpg. Not to say 45 is bad, but it's definitely not 60.
