2004 Toyota Prius - 2004 Toyota Prius
Purchased a used '04 Prius with a salvage title, and I couldn't be happier. The price was right ($7,000), it has good gas mileage, and it has some good features that other cars don't have. There are, however, a few downsides. I will explain both the pros and cons below.
Story
I was driving to my parent's new house out in the foothills, and I hit a patch of dead air (no cell service) and lost my phone navigation. I was able to pull over and put it in the onboard navigation and get back to the trip!
Pros
The top pro is the gas mileage; I don't drive conservatively, and I put about 150 miles a week. I spend $60 on gas a month, and I get about 45 miles to the gallon. The other pros are the navigation features, keyless entry, Bose sound, and interior storage. For $7,000, these features would be impossible to find in a new car.
Cons
The major con is the low power of a the Prius. It can get me to work and back, and even to the bay, but if I wanted to drive up in the mountains, prepare to be passed and harassed (for driving so slow). With a 1.5L engine, the little thing just can't take hills.
2010 Toyota Prius - I believe that the stereo system within my car works wonders. The system I have is JBL so that sound quality is amazing. The mileage you get is also amazing and if you are a student or someone commuting this car is seriously great. The car is also silent
Overall this car is alright, but for a student it definitely does the job. This car is super gas efficient and it's size enables you to parallel park in the busy streets of Los Angeles or in small parking structures. While the build of the car is not super durable in any way, I think it provides some comfortability for a not so expensive car.
Story
I took my car to Big Bear one year and it was super fun. I honestly thought that my car would not be able to withstand the cold and the ice on the road, but it held up just fine!
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle is that it is definitely efficient when it comes to gas and it has a great stereo system. If you are in the need of traveling far this car gives you so many miles it's almost crazy. The stereo system, JBL has really great bass and really amps up your music whether you are listening to the radio or something through the aux. I also really like the eco option for my car and how there is ample storage compartments within my interior. The trunk space is also very neat since it is a hatchback and I have been able to fit multiple pieces of big sized fur... (more)
Cons
The seats are not super comfortable and the build of the car is quite cheap looking as well as cheaply made. The rubber on the side of my doors have started to fall off with the heat melting them down.

I've purchased several cars from them over the last 20 years and I've always received great service; from the salesperson to the service technicians!
