2009 Toyota Prius - Great, reliable and budget friendly
I love my car. It gets great gas mileage and runs very well. I always feel safe and it's held up very well over the past ten years. I plan to keep my car at least another year or two before getting a new car. My car currently has about 140K miles. It's comfortable for myself and passengers.
Story
My parents ordered my car in their home state when I was living about six hours away. Once my car was delivered we met halfway at a random Applebees in Tennessee to switch cars.
Pros
It's safe, reliable, and gas efficient. It handles well in various types of environments and it's fun to drive. I like having the ability to fold down the back seat and using that plus the truck for moving.
Cons
The car doesn't have the most power. I wish it was faster. The battery replacement is more costly than the average/non hybrid car but Prius batteries last longer.
2010 Toyota Prius - Dependable Prius—gas saving
The Prius is quiet, dependable and responsive. I love waving at gas pumps as I ride by. In a hurricane zone, you never know when the price of gas will sky rocket due to availability shortages. The Prius keeps me running when others are running around looking for gas. Need extra space? Drop the seat down to gain some extra storage. The Prius also has economy mode driving, which is easily switched off when passing cars or entering onto busy highways.
Story
I remember taking my boss to lunch in my car, and we started backing out of parking space. My boss said, "Is it already on?"
Pros
Quiet. Responsive. Dependable. Green. Saves on gas.
Cons
Back seat is a bit small.
