The Toyota Prius is an excellent car to get you from Point A to Point B as it gets 50+ MPG. It's practical and the car of choice for anyone who commutes heavily. Yes, it's not the coolest car to drive around. In fact it's the butt of many jokes. But who cares what others think? You can laugh your way to the bank.
Story
Finding out I could fit a whole dissembled large backyard trampoline in the back of my Prius. Basically like having a little truck.
Pros
The Prius gets great MPG and depending on how you drive it can get 55+mpg. This turns into savings at the pump. I see all the SUV and Truck drivers look at me in envy when it pull in to the gas station and fill up quicker then them for a fraction of the cost. Additionally there is plenty of storage room in the back with the two seats down. Enough to fit two bikes. If the battery lasts long the car can easily go over 300K+ miles.
Cons
If the battery lasts long it can easily drive for 300k+ miles; however some batteries are known to go out between 150-200k. Thankfully I'm over 200k and haven't had any issues yet. Also, because these are from a somewhat older generation of Hybrid the pickup in the car is weak. Not the coolest looking car to roll up in.

I got this Prius sedan for a commuter car. So far it has done very well gas-wise. 42 mpg city/highway. The ride is good, road noise is fair and much better than other cars I have used for the same purpose before.
Story
Going to buy it was an all-day ordeal. Got lost twice, but the car proved itself worth the effort in the end.
Pros
Great on gas for a automatic transmission. Body style is not too weird like other Prius models. Very reliable engineering and better than most car brands.
Cons
Small, does not come with manual transmission, at least I couldn't find one around here. Difficult to work on, very tight spaces under the hood. Not very DIY friendly. Too much misleading online advice around too.
