I purchase this car new from the dealer at the final price of 25k before fees/taxes. I've had this car for a few years now and I have to say right away that it's the best car I've ever owned. If you are looking for a car that is reliable, and good on gas, grab a Prius. Although the Prius is a good car, it's definitely polarizing. It may be fantastic for one person, and crap for the other. From people I talk to, they either have a positive or negative feeling towards the car. There's hardly anyone in between. Let's look at the pros and cons that I've found while owning the car. I'm going to talk about standard knowledge and quirks only an owner would know. First, the pros. The car is excellent on gas. I can average 55+ mpg when driving it in the summer and about 45 mpg while driving it... (more)
Story
One time, I raced my co-worker's Ford Focus on the highway! I didn't win but I was surprised by how much my little hybrid kept up.
Pros
Fuel economy, quiet, roomy for it's footprint, reliable
Cons
Slow, no respect on the road

2013 Toyota Prius - Excellent economic car. The hybrid engine can run on gasoline and electric.

Although acceleration and 44 mpg total fuel economy remained the same, the car offered better crash protection and more available benefits. As a rule, the car is driven by electricity to about 25 mph, and then the engine begins to provide motivation as well as recharging the battery. The brake pedal feels a bit of a feeling, but it's easy to get used to. The ride is solid and the behavior is a bit compelled. Still, the hatchback configuration, a vertical stance and a roomy rear seat make the Prius one of the most sensible choice out there. Insert bullet proof reliability and low operating costs, and you have the perfect transport solution.
Story
WeÕve accidentally left it running in the garage for a few hours until we went to investigate the periodic vacuum cleaner sound.
Pros
It still makes 44-47 miles per gallon on road trips and 47-52 miles per gallon with in-city driving. Yep, that seems backwards but it isnÕt since the breaking system is part of the battery re-charging process. It still has great amount of storage space for us. It regularly carries four men and their big duffle bags, pet cages, luggage, etc. Heck, we actually successfully transported a full-sized chaise lounge home along with the two of us. It is still very comfortable for up to four adults and semi-comfortable for five if a couple of the adults are not large. It drives fairly smooth Ð a lo... (more)
Cons
There is still a big blind spot thanks to the slope of the rear window area. It is so quiet that weÕve accidentally left it running in the garage for a few hours until we went to investigate the periodic vacuum cleaner sound. It seems to run through Discount Tires every two years now, and it costs about $450 to have them all replaced. If it breaks down in your garage, you will need a jack with wheels to get it out since it is a hybrid that canÕt be put into neutral when it is dead Ð itÕs just a pretty paper weight with front wheel drive. So you can jack up the front and push it out so it c... (more)
