This is my 2nd Highlander. I absolutely love it. I like the dependability, comfort, stability. It's 4WD and goes practically anywhere. We have the 3rd row seat option, which is nice when travelling with 4 or more kids. The 2nd row seat has a 60/40 split, and when both sides are down we can fit a lot of stuff from Costco in there! And...It came with cloth seats, which was our top priority! Dog claws and leather do NOT get along, and cloth seats are better when it's 100+ in the summer.
Story
In the winter, we have to drive over a mountain pass which is in excess of 3500' elevation. There are many times when chains are required on everything except AWD/4WD. It's loads of fun to sail past those poor people struggling to get chains on!
Pros
I liked the 3-month complimentary subscription to Sirius XM radio. We are now in our 3rd subscription year. The Bluetooth is very user-friendly. I can connect my iPod to the sound system. The backup camera is a feature I didn't think I would use, but actually is very handy! And...On occasion, we get 25MPG, which is outstanding for a mid-size SUV.
Cons
I wouldn't really say negative, but things that can be improved on: quality of Bluetooth sound. For the sound system in general, it would be nice to adjust the speakers to front only, back only, or both. Not too whippy on the comfort of the 2nd row seat; a little too firm. Here's a thought: find a way so when someone in the front seat is talking with someone behind them, those in the back can hear clearly. (This is actually a problem in most vehicles, but thought I'd add it in!)

My Highlander is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Though it is far from your typical stylish SUV, you would not be embarrassed to be seen in it. The seats are comfortable and spaced really well for tall people like me. The gearbox and in-dash display is within reach and spares the driver from a confusing array of useless buttons. It is the answer for those of us that are money conscious because of its incredible economical gas use. It handles like a small car without sacrificing the SUV feel. Its cargo space is enormous even without the rear view bench seat folded down. It is a very nice, quiet cruising vehicle but very quick and nimble whenever I encounter situations that require me to react fast. I have never felt like I could lose control driving this car because it responds exce... (more)
Pros
Economical gas use, big size, comfortable seats, well-laid out radio controls, big windows, speakers.
Cons
Style is boring and without personality

Second car I bought from Rich at Leskovar. Leskovar's pricing is below KBB. Rich didn't pressure me at any point in the process. I went in and picked the car I liked, the next day after work I went and signed all the paperwork they had ready for me. Great overall experience. Next time I am in the market for a new car I will start at Leskovar.
