I often got 30 miles per gallon driving this SUV! The third row of seats can be easily folded down or up, and the row is equally as comfortable to sit in as the other seats. There is plenty of leg room for everyone. Traction control worked perfectly in slick conditions, and all-wheel drive was very helpful as well. Really comfortable driver's seat with great lumbar support, made long-distance drives very easy. Rear-view cameras made backing up a breeze. For such a big car, it is very easy to maneuver in the city. The cloth interior is easy to clean and vacuum. The middle row folds down as well and easily gives the car as much room as a pickup truck, great for runs to IKEA and Costco! The only problem with the car is that if you are using the third-row seats, there is not a lot of room ... (more)
Story
This car was really easy to drive up and down the steep hills of San Francisco and a breeze to parallel park on city streets!
Pros
Good gas mileage, seats seven people, easy fold seats for transporting large loads, stable to drive, easy to maneuver, easy to see out of, easy to clean, comfortable.
Cons
Not much room in trunk if you are using third-row seats.

We got this SUV because we wanted a vehicle for the occasional off-roading trips that we planned on going. But instead, we used it more often as a transport for our stuff. The overall build quality is pretty good. It looks and feels solid. We have our fair share of the occasional bumps, but usually, it takes it better than the other vehicle. The engine is good, but after a few years, we were warned by Toyota's authorized dealer that there could be a potential leak in the gasket, and the repair could be costly. We're still driving it without fixing it. Through the years, there were a number of recalls to fix the brakes. Other than all these negatives, it's an OK SUV for the usual commute and the ability to move large items in its spacious back.
Story
We went for a road trip with friends, and there were around 7 of us squeezed into the vehicle. Despite the discomfort, it was a fun trip, and the SUV did its job without issues.
Pros
Spacious and can squeeze one more person at the back. It's largely free of defects. We haven't encountered any breakdowns. It's sturdy and robust. It's a V6 and has lots of power. It's small and still hauls everything I need it to haul.
Cons
Bad mileage and not as efficient as newer generation equivalent SUVs. Has got its fair share of recalls. There's a potential problem with a leaky gasket that affects this model.

It was amazing, I was in and out in less than an hour and a half. I knew the guy who did finance and they treated me amazing. I usually hate car dealerships. The salesperson was very laid back and didn't push me at all.

We didn't really shop around, we only went to this one dealership. But the salespeople were great. The particular sales person we had was new but his trainer was definitely hands on through out the whole transaction. Our price was worked on once we said that the original one was too much.
