I really like my 2006 Highlander because it takes me to point A to point B, and it is very durable. The condition of the vehicle is still a good shape, the exterior is clean and well maintained as well as the exterior. I do not like the fact that it doesn't have built-in high tech sensors like the 2019 Highlander. It has about 120,000 miles on it and still running strong. Overall, gas efficient is great, strong engine and breaks. It is roomy and comfortable, seats seven people. Two extra seats are folded and hidden in the back trunk. The middle seat can be converted as well.
Story
I have driven the highlander from Texas to North Carolina to relocate, and it was very durable and memorable.
Pros
The top positive things are that it has a CD and tape player in the stereo drive, unlike the newer cars, those doesn't exist anymore. Another thing I like about it is the comfort of the seats, it's wider and has more room. Great for driving long distance and short as well. Amazing it is considered as my lucky car. No damages or any accidents. Great shape.
Cons
A few negative things about it are the lack of built-in sensors for changing lanes and backing up as well as side camera. Another negative is the lack of seat warmer button to heat it up in super cold weather. No Bluetooth connectivity but it has a charger outlet to insert a smartphone charger. No built-in GPS. You will need to use your own phone or buy a separate GPS for the car if needed.

The Toyota Highlander has been a good family car. We originally purchased the car because we needed a vehicle that allowed for more space -- more people. Our oldest is a year round swimmer and we needed to be able to transport a group of teen girls to and from swim. The Highlander has been great for this.
Story
My most memorable experiences involve our trips to the beach in the vehicle.
Pros
The Toyota Highlander is our go to car for car trips. It gets decent gas mileage but is also very comfortable for long car trips. It is easy to see out of the Highlander. There are few blind spots. There is a third row, which is nice when we need to fit additional people into the car. It is good for outdoor adventures and we often take it out for camping trips and bike rides. I have over 110,000 miles on the car and have had very problems other than typical maintenance.
Cons
When the third row is up there is very little "trunk" space. The third row can fit three people, however, only two seat belts exist.
