The 2016 Toyota Highlander is one of the better cars I have owned. First, it is very high tech. I enjoy the Bluetooth feature in the car. I can talk on the phone hands-free. I also enjoy the touchscreen dashboard. I like that the dashboard automatically adjusts its brightness depending on the lighting outside. I also like how much space is in the car for guests. When there are five or more guests in the car, it doesn't feel crowded or cramped, which is a huge bonus. The car also has other cool features, like quick air conditioning and heating. However, there are many things about the car that I do not like. First, the car isn't too great in snow. I bought it thinking that it would be amazing in the snow, but to my disappointment, I slip and slide in it a lot. The car also does not have... (more)
Story
I can recall driving to the airport in this car. It was a very comfortable ride, even though the drive was over two hours long. The music and A/C made the trip quite enjoyable, actually.
Pros
I like the Bluetooth feature of the car. I can talk hands-free. I also like that there is a touchscreen dashboard that's linked to my phone, so I don't have to pick up the phone while driving. The car is also very safe. It's very large, and I feel very safe driving in it.
Cons
There isn't a sunroof. There also is not a lot of trunk space. The car isn't very good in the snow, as I slip and slide a lot in it. I feel that I don't have very much control in the snow, which is a problem because I'm located in Upstate New York. Finally, I understand that this is a safety feature, but the car will beep relentlessly if you drift into another lane, even if you are passing someone.

The Toyota Highlander is a car that I recently bought just last year mainly for the sake of traveling to and from work. I love how it can fit a large group of people and make it feel roomy at the same time so my friends would pick my car as the car of choice for an outing. There's no interior rattle of any sort, and the car moves smoothly and fast. The brakes have no problems, and the Highlander can stop quickly without any issues. The navigational system within the car could use some work, since I find it difficult to use. The GPS on it is especially difficult, so I usually resort to my phone GPS on long-distance travel. The fact that the car has a built-in camera in the back is very handy when backing out of a parking spot.
Story
I was once at a shopping center parking lot, and after I finished up buying some medication for a friend, I looked for my car. I usually rely on the license plate to verify which car is mine but this was a fairly new car, so I don't have the plate memorized. I opened up the driver door and immediately was face to face with two boys in the backseat, one of whom was in a booster seat. I quickly ... (more)
Pros
The Bluetooth stereo doesn't require a plug in for the phone in order to play music. The roomy atmosphere and the size even allows for the claustrophobic some breathing room. The back seat also retracts downward, allowing space for storing equipment, and for the restaurant business, it's necessary for a car to be able to store a lot.
Cons
The speed can sometimes be too fast, but it won't feel that way due to the smoothness of the car. The built-in navigation system could also be tweaked to allow for easier accessing. The car also feels like it uses fuel much faster than other cars.
