Recently bought the car for cheap and it runs great. The only problem we encountered was the check engine light came on. I figured it out because of YouTube that it was a bad gas cap. I bought a new gas cap from the dealership and reset the check engine light with my Bluetooth OBD reader. No other problems; the car runs great and only has 95,000 miles on it.
Story
We drove to and from San Diego, which is six hours away. We had a good time taking it for a ride on a vacation spot.
Pros
An old car that runs great. Corollas are the best cars to buy. I really like that the car runs great considering its age. It has a little bit of pickup when you step on the gas, and it is only four cylinders.
Cons
It does not have keyless entry, but I can buy an aftermarket alarm to fix the problem. The suspension boots are all broken, but it does have 95,000 miles on it. It did have a squeaky suspension noise, but I fixed it with a gasket re-sealer that I found on YouTube. The seat are not too comfortable for a long drive.

It gets pretty decent gas mileage, and it's relatively comfortable inside. It lacks a little in the power department, but it has yet to fail an emissions test or have some really outlandish thing go wrong that would cost a fortune. Ultimately, I'd probably buy one like it again so long as it still runs like mine does and can pass emissions.
Story
Drove it 17 hours solid from Northern California to Arizona, and it went without a hitch. Still drove fine after that, too!
Pros
-Room inside for 5 people -Decent gas mileage -Reliable -Not bad for road trips -Cheap to buy and fix
Cons
-Need to press more than you're used to on the gas to go -Doesn't pick up speed fast -Won't go faster than 50 up a hill most of the time -Engine is set up oddly for DIY mechanics -No good features you would expect from modern cars such as power windows, ABS, electronic door locks, cruise control, CD player, or alarm system

The salesperson was not pushy at all. He answered all of our questions, but didn't force us to buy or make us feel hurried or uncomfortable. He allowed us to test drive several cars without making it seem like we were wasting his time. The finance department was really kind and respectful as well. Overall, it was just a pleasant experience. We also paid under blue book value for the car and the car has been running great and had low mileage when we purchased it.
