1998 Toyota Corolla - Simple, reliable, and practical Toyota

My Toyota Corolla is simple looking four-door burgundy sedan. What it lacks in cosmetic appearance, it makes up in dependability. In ten years, there have been only three times when I could not start the car or had to call AAA. The first two times were when I had a flat tire. The third time was when I couldn't start the car due needing a new battery.
Story
The most memorable story I have using my vehicle is when I slept overnight in it in a Catholic Church parking lot, because the hotels in the area were a bit pricey for me. I wanted to save money. I felt parking in the church lot would protect me.
Pros
The top positive things about my vehicle is that as long as I do my maintenance, I don't have the embarrassment of having a break down in the middle of traffic. I'm lucky that my only "embarrassments" of my car no longer running due to a flat tire, happened on a not very busy and empty street. It still runs smoothly as its mileage increases over the years. After putting in a full tank of gas, I only need to fill it up once a week. My favorite feature of the vehicle is that it doesn't have modern buttons. I still have to roll down the windows.
Cons
It is not that attractive. My Corolla does look rather cookie cutter, as most cars do. It does not have a unique style like a Porsche, Lamborghini, Miata or Jeep. Another negative is that while it is comfortable enough, it could stand to have better cushioning inside.

The Toyota Corolla is traditionally known for three things: reliability, simplicity, and a low price for just the right value. The 2015 Toyota Corolla doesn’t disappoint the commuter population. Buyers get everything they’ve come to expect from the Corolla and more. It starts with technology like wheel-mounted audio controls, optional keyless entry and moon roof, and rounds out with exceptional safety measures.
Story
Corollas don’t have Wi-Fi for the passengers, but for the occupant who really matters, the driver, there’s a USB port, Bluetooth, and an audio jack.
Pros
Critics and test drivers agree that this compact car now feels more like a mid size in 2015. Toyota increased both the leg room and the headroom to add all around comfort. The backseats feel as homey as your living room couch. The five seats can be personalized with either fabric or leatherette. The front seats have also been tweaked by Toyota so that they’re more adjustable. Simplicity. The more complex modern technology gets, the more consumers have come to value the ease of minimalistic controls. Cell phones got too small and have started to grow large again. Dashboards got so “busy” wi... (more)
Cons
Corollas aren’t built to win races. Speed is not one of its strengths. One criticism is that the car can feel more like a boat at times even at full-speed on the highway. It can be slow to accelerate especially from a complete stop. The Ford Focus handles better in its steering, its “feel” and acceleration. The Focus, as alternative to the Corolla, has many of the same pros and cons. The biggest pro being that it’s for the flashy rather than the frugal.
