2011 Toyota Corolla - Good car, but needs more power
I purchased my car with approximately 600 miles on it, so it was nearly brand new. It rides smoothly, no rattles or bumps. Always gets me to where I need to be. Acceleration is s bit sluggish, but I did not buy it to race. I can easily fit two bicycles in the car - one in the trunk and one in the back seat. The trunk is just the perfect length to fit my scuba tanks. Back seat is large enough for two drooly pups to lay on after playing and the seats are really easy to clean, with no residual smell or spots.
Story
I had some friends come visit to scuba dive with me for 10 days. My car held 5 people, 5 sets of scuba gear (on a roof rack), and 5 heavy scuba tanks. It ran perfectly and we all had a great trip.
Pros
The car handles really well. I've driven it in hurricane-force wind and rain and it drove perfectly. Seats are comfortable. Passenger seat lays down nearly vertical and is good for napping. My trunk liner has held up surprisingly well against having sporting gear drug across it countless times.
Cons
Had to have the brakes redone twice now due to defects. Once was when the car had maybe 15,000 miles on it and the second time was just before the warranty expired. When stopping, it would make this weird almost dull pulsating noise, not like metal on metal, just really weird. The brakes still do it occasionally. Also the trunk lock sticks and does not usually open with the key. The button on the remote works, but the lock sticks and won't open at all with the key inserted one way and opens about 50% if the time when I turn the key over.
2012 Toyota Corolla - Reliable car that you can depend on.
This is a great vehicle. If you like compact cars, then this is a good fit. It walks a fine line between compact and comfy. The back seat is roomy, and if you get the sports model, you can get some nice leather seats. This car walks a fine line of not being too fancy and not being trashy. This is a great fit for men and women alike. If you have a small family, then you can get by with this vehicle (capacity of five).
Story
There is nothing I can think of that was fun that happened in my car. I like to take road trips with my family but nothing too crazy.
Pros
I love how dependable and reliable this car is. I never feel like I will face huge challenges with this vehicle. Toyota has been around for year, and this vehicle is no exceptions. I can definitely count on this car for years. Very stylish and attractive overall, from the inside out.
Cons
If you are looking for a really roomy car, then this may not be the car for you. It is efficient for the everyday room requirements and hauling some people but not the amount of room you could obtain in a full-size vehicle.
