I purchased my Corolla new immediately after graduating from college, as it was highly rated by the Kelley Blue Book, and was relatively inexpensive. I have driven it nearly daily for almost seventeen years, and have been very satisfied with it. It needs minimal maintenance apart from changing the oil and checking the tires every now and again. I have been in a few fender-benders over the years, and have been pleased by the fact that the car is still highly reliable, and the replacement parts have been inexpensive. Overall, this has been the perfect car for me.
Story
I used to live in Oregon, two hours from the coast and two hours from the Cascades. Every week during the summer, my best friend and I would throw our climbing gear and some food in the back of my car. We'd work through lunch on Friday, then cut out early and drive to the mountains and camp. We'd climb all Saturday and until about lunch on Sunday. Then we'd drive four hours to the coast and fi... Pros
The top things that attracted me to my Corolla in the first place were its reputation for quality and low price. I bought the CE edition, and I appreciate that it doesn't have all of the extra bells and whistles, as I think they are unnecessary "extras" to break. I additionally enjoy the simple, understated interior. I have young children, and I can let them eat and play in the back seat without worrying that they're going to scratch or ruin something important. The gas mileage is also good, which is easy on the budget.
Cons
My main critique of this car is the lack of space. When I was a young, single guy, I could fit everything I owned in the back of my Corolla. In fact, I moved across the country that way twice. But now that I'm married and have two small children, it can be difficult to fit everything that we need for a weekend trip.

I love this car. It is small, but roomy enough for 5 people. I have taken this car on many road trips. Had enough room for everything. The car has great gas mileage as well.
Story
Driving my car to the beach.
Pros
Roomy. Seats five. Feels safe for my son. Great gas mileage. Handles well. Have used the trunk to mount a bicycle.
Cons
The hubcaps always fall off. And I've seen identical cars to mine and they are all missing the hubcaps, too.
