2013 Toyota Corolla - Economical buy
Overall, my Toyota Corolla was a great buy. I am very happy with it for the price I paid. However, it does feel cheaply made in some aspects. There are a few rattling parts in the car, and the interior material feels cheap. I have yet to have any major mechanical problems outside of general maintenance. The ride is also very smooth, which is helpful for taking my dog around town, as she gets very car sick, so a smoother ride really helps her stay calm.
Story
I was able to pack my car up with my dog and drive from the northeast to the southwest with ease!
Pros
Gas mileage—on the highway I tend to average about 32 mpg. Low maintenance cost—outside of general maintenance, I haven't had to replace anything that would hurt my wallet. Economy—a car that safely and reliably gets you from a to b at a price that feels great.
Cons
My only negative for my car is that some of the interior feels cheap such as the glovebox and the seats
2012 Toyota Corolla - Overall positive
The best thing about my car is the gas mileage, up to 37 MPG on the highway and 30 MPG in town. It is easy to drive and to park. The trunk is huge. I have driven from Lafayette, LA to San Antonio, TX and back several times and have never had a problem with any part of this car. The radio works great. The steering is very easy, and it holds the road well. The only negative is that I just received notice about a faulty airbag. I cannot let a passenger ride in the front passenger seat. If I do, it's at my own risk.
Story
My son-in-law recently drove my car and said he would love to have one like it for his teenage daughter to learn to drive. It is easy to park.
Pros
Great gas mileage and easy to park and steer.
