Overall, it is a fantastic car. I have not had any major problems with it. It keep moving along at a comfortable pace. It gets pretty great gas mileage, around 25 miles per gallon. I've taken it on a few long drives (12+ hours) and it has handled those without problem. The seats aren't super comfortable, so you do have to get out and walk around for a bit every 2 or so hours (which you should be doing anyway). The maintenance costs are not terrible, but they are not great. The dealerships over charge by an extreme margin for basic maintenance (oil, tire rotation, replacing other fluids.) The quality of the car isn't super high, everything has a very plasticy feel. No high quality materials on the interior, it's cheaply made. The buttons for the sound system don't have a good feel, they... (more)
Story
The day I got it, it was the first time I owned a car. I went for a really long drive, it had under ten miles on it when I first picked it up and when I got home it had over two hundred miles on it. It was one of the happiest days of my life.
Pros
It does not cost a ton of money for what you get. It is a solid little car that you can drive for the next 20+ years if you take care of it. It doesn't have a ton of power but it is quick in tight spaces, and is easy to drive. There aren't any major blind spots or anything of that nature. It's small meaning it easily fits in tight parking spaces or garages that don't have a ton of extra room. The climate controls all work really well, the heater gets super toasty during the winter months and the air conditioning keeps it super chilly during the summer months. Besides maintenance, the c... Cons
The build quality on the interior is pretty terrible. The plastics are really noticeably plastic, in a bad way. Things rattle and jiggle to the point of annoyance especially on long drives. It's comfort is lacking, again on longer drives. On shorter drives, not so much, but sitting in the car for hours takes a pretty big toll on you.

This is a great car for the price and the size. It gets good gas mileage, as well as performing well. It's a lot more attractive than other vehicles in this category, the spoiler gives it a more sporty look that I like. For a smaller car, the interior is actually pretty big and comfortable. The back seat is big enough for my German Shepherd to ride comfortably, her favorite thing to do is put her front paws on the center console and stick her head out of the sun roof, I'm sure we look pretty strange driving down the road with her head sticking out of the sunroof, but she enjoys it.
Story
In the great weather in the summer here, it is very fun to drive around with the windows down and the sunroof open. My dog's favorite thing to do is stand between the two front seats with her front paws on the center console and her head out the sunroof.
Pros
My favorite feature of the Corolla is that Bluetooth came standard. I have the base model because I wanted a standard transmission, but I was still able to get Bluetooth and XM radio.
Cons
I ended up moving from Phoenix to Colorado Springs, the car was well suited for Phoenix, but not as much in Colorado Springs. While it does seem to handle well in the snow, it doesn't have enough power to get up the steep hills without slowing down a lot. Also, I wanted a standard transmission, but that isn't the most convenient thing with so many hills.
